I can't imagine this song being an 18 unless the cut is the entirety of the ending which could be reduced to a bunch of freezes anyway after a certain point. I'm just happy for Porter for making the boyhood dream come true once again. Is this is the first time a licensed track can be considered a boss song for a Bemani title? (Commissions don't count)

Cartoon Heroes comes to mind, essentially being the hardest chart on EXTREME that wasn't rated a 10. Definitely harder than things like Trip Machine Survivor and even probably Sakura.

I don't think I can agree with this. EX had very clearly defined boss songs even if they weren't all scorching hard. Shit like So Deep and FITN were significantly harder than CANDY⭐ but they weren't boss songs.I hate semantics.
