Yeah, I'm not really digging the new song Let Me Know. Just where is OSTER project ffs?

I love that they're getting fresh faces and fans to be a part of the series. But you also have a sound team you're not really doing anything with. People synonymous with the series for ages that only come around for an event or two maybe. So conflicted on this.

I feel like new talent is super important during this time in DDR because I think for the past five years or so it's been heavily reliant on old names and faces to pull the weight. For what it's worth, there have been great debuts in the past couple of years and this is just one of the misses.

I'm getting tired of OSTER project if I'm honest. If it's not pop rock it's goth oriental and world music. She seriously needs to step more out of her comfort zone with other genre's because her songs are starting to blend together and it's not good, like what L.E.D. does with his familiar drum kicks and electro sound. More artists need to be more like Hommarju, always pushing the envelope of creativity with each song, he has no defining traits with any of his songs and he's always unique, he's a jack of all trades. Heck even Nekomata has been stepping out of his composing comfort level lately with Cosmic Wonder Revolution. I want more artists to experiment more instead of being in the same comfort tropes all the time.

I only agree with this "artists should do other genres" take if suddenly we get a U1 metal song.

I feel like if you go to Steakhouse you expect a steak, if you go to Red Lobster you expect lobster rather than expect them to expand outside of their boundaries. Similar with music artists.
I don't really actually have much of substance to add, just felt like posting something after a several year absence.

Pretty much. Last thing I want is for someone like Nekomata Master to start adding in the obligatory DDR EDM dubstep breakdowns to their shit that really doesn't need it.
There's a reason I don't like Kors K's remix of Far East Nightbird, it took something totally unique and made it "just another EDM track".

Yeah seriously Sigrev it's an open forum we're allowed to express how we feel. That's how I feel about Oster, you can agree to disagree but it's not fair like no one asked for me to express myself? That's not cool, you can agree or disagee, but I'm allowed to speak my opinion. Also, nobody asked for you to come in here and be rude either but here you are

I agree about Hommarju. He is one of the best regular commissioned producers across all games. I've never heard a Hommarju track and said "this is mid".
This also might be my bias of having listened to Good Sound United at least 50 times...

Same. I can't stand when a more uptempo song (DDR needs more happy hardcore) just gets railroaded by a dubstep bridge. Skywalking and Out of Focus are two examples that come to mind. I feel dubstep hasn't been a relevant thing since like 2015 but someone at Konami clearly still loves the stuff as it keeps getting shoved into songs. Keep the dubstep in the "heavy" tracks if you have to include it.

You're acting like Happy Hardcore isn't one of the most prevalent EDM genre in the game. Also dubstep is very much still relevant, although it's expanded into many subgenres, including Riddim (which is what the song Let Me Know is in the first half), Melodic Dubstep, etc. There are a lot of EDM genres that have not appeared much in DDR, especially the slower BPM stuff, but apparently we still don't have enough Happy Hardcore.
Also for the record, I like Let Me Know. The level of production isn't amazing, but the song still goes hard. It's nice to see DDR expanding into different genres more. I definitely would like to see more Progressive House and Bigroom style stuff, but with the direction they're going, I'm looking forward to the future A3 songs.

I badly want some more house and trance in modern DDR. Not every song needs to surpass 160 bpm.
Edit: Also, screw Ace Out I guess, Let's Dance Around is next to get a challenge chart.
