Cancelled Encisso's DanceStages and Characters

Good afternoon guys,

In view of all the messages we have received for the decision made yesterday, regarding the removal of all content for non-compliance with the rules given from the beginning:

• It is vital to emphasize that although the license used from the beginning supported the distribution and publication of the content, our work rules were clear. This project does NOT intend to use SM Arcades in public places, nor replace the use of KONAMI Official Arcades in public places; it is only intended for home use.

• We understand it is difficult to control the use that each one of you gives it, but we just want to do things right and continue to share with you something that has never been seen in this way before. Just step the rules.

• I want to apologize to all those who were involved in a series of heavy messages, as well as those who may have been offended by them. Also, for the decision taken abruptly to eliminate the content of the project.

• I want to apologize to all those people who, from the beginning, have offered their support and optimism in the realization of this project. You are pretty important to me. You are the main focus of this project, as I have always told you, both publicly and in private messages. I know you were affected by this decision, so we will continue to work to earn your trust again.

• Considering the number of messages received by you, my team and I have decided to desist from the termination of the project. GitHub content has been partially reactivated publicly. It only contains the November Update, since, apparently, this corresponds to the update used in the video and images broadcast. Information about the following updates of the Next Phase Series will be delivered soon.

• I am talking with my team members to determine the best way to proceed, we hope to bring you good news soon and compensate you for what happened.

I just want to thank all those who took the time to write to us thanking us for all our effort and dedication to the project. Thanks to you we hope to continue the project, regardless of the negative messages we have received.

They aren't the characters you would expect lol. Specifically, they're Louis-Concent III:02 and Queen-Zukin:02, whose cut-ins I based off their alternate colors (since their cut-ins used their original colors).

I look forward to seeing if the project can truly come back to life. I'd love to make more edited cut-ins.


I made my own edited cut-ins for Louis-Concent and Queen Zukin, I'd love to see yours and compare our works, if possible.

If the project really does pick up again, I plan on continuing this project as well, and maybe even improve the ones I already edited.

I’m hoping his “bruh” was because Encisso clearly doesn’t want the patches distributed anymore or they would be on GitHub, and not because Starlight was mentioned at all. Because if he’s going to act like this anytime the dancers and starlight are mentioned in the same post he should just leave, clearly this is not a good place for his mental health. They weren’t even asking for the dancers to be part of starlight, they wanted the files to use in another theme (which works, I used them minus the metrics.ini file to add them to the X3 vs 2nd Mix theme).

Cool, then keep it to yourself and stop thinking your opinion needs to be brought up every time.

you weren't the one being addressed. you behaving like this won't win you any favors. this is an issue that has cropped up from multiple people across multiple websites and servers. to the point where it's become genuinely frustrating for the entire dev team when we have people in our dms trying to get us to make statements on things we have no association with.

cute but you trying to use my statement telling people to chill on having actual meltdowns over stepmania dancing characters can't be applied to me voicing frustrations of a team routinely being hounded over said dancing characters, said team having no involvement in said characters. don't know what you're attempting to achieve with this one but i don't think it'll be coming off in your favor.

DDR XX has nothing to do with this project. Quit bringing XX and the XX team into this please and quit asking us to do so.

Though I will say the way the XX team is handling this, things could be...better instead of raging at people that have no idea about any of this.
