Please note:
- Those marked in yellow, I highly recommend these files to new steppers and those that might get low scores as a guide in charting for future songs.
- Do NOT be discouraged by the negative feedback/low scores (especially to those new to contests); that means that there is A LOT of room to improve. Just keep stepping, perhaps consider the feedback we give, refer to the files I marked in yellow and some DDR/ITG official files and then come up with your own ideas later on.
- My reviews obviously will not reflect where your file will stand overall. There are nearly 50 other participants that may have entirely different views as mine.

Not sure I agree with being overcharted, but... yeah I couldn't think of anything else to do with that intro other than karaoke. I didn't know a good way to step the piano without either A: going totally overboard or B: toning down the rhythms in a way that still felt "correct".

So... I actually have reviews of my own that I wrote for this week. Yeah, I actually wrote reviews for all the files for once. But now I'm not sure if I should actually post them. I want to but I'm also afraid of coming off as a bit of an ass in some of my comments.

Roast us! Self-bias is implicit, so getting called out by others is the best way to learn what we're doing wrong and improve our future charts.

For anyone that hasn't played this file yet I'll put this in spoiler tags like I do with my feedback in Discord so no one feels a bit biased when playing this.

That's definitely how it felt like when playing it but the intro for sure can definitely be toned down IMO and you could still afford to follow other parts of the song like the percussions in say the section in m58 which felt similar to m49 though I understand what the current ESP is going for. Pretty much subjective anyway.


By all means please do. Reviews (maybe regardless of harshness as long as constructive of course) will definitely help improve other steppers and it would be nice to see perspectives other than mine and/or tak's in ZIv contests for once.

In my continuing saga of having no idea how to rate certain on-the-fence charts, consider this to be in the hard-14/decent-15 range.

Okay, I hear it now, you're right. Thanks for pointing that out! In that case, though, I think a 5-note 16th cluster would have made a little more sense than just 3 notes, just like it is in that GITADORA chart you referenced.
