This is a simple and minimal theme highly modified from KenP's DDR A theme with only solo play supported at the moment.
I tried to simplify and "modernize" UI elements and used Apple fonts to give it a sleek look and feel.
The theme is still a work in progress and there's much I don't understand regarding StepMania code syntax so progress is slow.
I'd like to incorporate a time remaining bar in the future as well; there are a lot of small things (mostly backend) that need tweaking, i.e. system options menu, percentage scoring, minor animations, code cleanup, etc.

ddrmini-note credit to PeterDDR, I just made a spotlight effect to down tap explosions to make them more lively.

RandomMovies sourced from Beware's DDR Video Collection and scaled to 2x with Topaz Gigapixel AI.

Original theme base is DDRA and X2 for StepMania 5, both created by KenP and highly modified for DDR Mini.

Font used is Apple's San Francisco Rounded.

Hey there! Not a lot of comments here yet, but I'm liking the theme so far! I hope you keep working on it!

Is it possible to hide the "now playing" song description during the gameplay, to be able to see just the backgrounds?

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'll definitely look into your suggestion, an option toggle for it would be great but may require some more intensive coding than I'm used to but I'll definitely give it a try! If anything I may release a patch file for removing it if I can't get it going in an options menu.

I was never crazy about the X2 style jacket display but the rest looks nice. I’ll be all over it once the DDRA style jacket display version is out. Thanks for including the upscaled videos, they look quite nice.

Glad to hear you've enjoyed it aside from the coverflow. I'll probably release the ddra style selection in a part of a separate theme I'm working on so this one can keep it's identity. Hoping to release that within the next month or so.


lol def an ugly bug; I'll try and squash it for the next update. I need to see about editing my user profile with full combos so I can actually encounter these bugs, I only have one pfc on my own profile so these things go over my head

as for the black bg you could copy/paste ScreenSelectProfile background.redir and rename it to ScreenSelectMusic background.redir to get the green video bg on music select. I'll look into incorporating it more thoroughly (with a gradient or ui panel overlay or something) in the next update if many of you would like that over the solid black, though I was trying to keep it feeling simple.

also gonna look into cleaning up percentage scoring for the next update as well, I don't use it at all but I know a lot of you do so it's def worth fixing

edit 4/29: just updated to 1.01, fixed reverse scrolling ui bug, somewhat fixed fc ring bug (needs further investigating because colors don't show properly), and added background and ui elements to music select
