Just a few hours ago, Queen Nebulaurum was notified that 7 are remaining. It’s very pleasing that the tournament is all going according to plan.

As she stares out at the galaxy, and as the tournament draws closer to the end, she can’t help but worry.

How far along is it? Will she be able to leave before they suspect something of her? Do they realize she knows about it? These questions haunt her. While this part of her plan seems to be going smoothly, she can’t guarantee something won’t go wrong down the line.

She can’t let it bother her too much. Besides, she’s not alone in this effort. There was a reason she hand-picked the competitors of the tournament. The winner will be one of the cornerstones of her plan.

Once she is able to get out of here, she will begin the next phase. She just needs to find the right people.

Until then, all that’s left to do now is wait….

I've already submitted my votes but I do have 4 days to change them. My scores (obviously not yet posted) were based on the two charts I liked the most considering not everyone has the ability to clear or even evaluate the hard charts that were submitted. This is one approach I hope the lesser-skilled participants that aren't into the Lv19 memes would consider for this contest and future ones.

Especially with the feedback for one of the files, and as much as I do not want potential drama to unfold, I hope you understand where I'm getting at. I have known ZIv contests to cater to everyone of ALL skill levels.

Ah jeez, i feel like i need to clear the air a bit on my file.

So around this time last year during BR2020 we were on full lockdown so I was off work completely, which lasted until July. I've been back to work full time now, and just recently bought a house so I've been moving on top of that. You can see when I uploaded the file (Sunday at 10AM). That's because I was up until late at night Saturday and then woke up early on Sunday to finish the file on time. I would've 100% made lower difficulties if I had time. I definitely don't want to give off the impression that I was only making one chart just cuz I was doing the bare minimum or not considering anyone who can't play a 19 or anything like that. Definitely my fault though, I should've explained that one chart was all I had time for when I submitted it.

Hopefully this can at the least add some context to the situation.

Oh also the video... thats a tough one since its such a great video, but yeah sorry for any eye strain I caused.

It's been really fun this time around. Probably gonna take a break from contests for a little while but good luck to Tony and Daff for SC2021! If you need any ideas for themes I'm always here

Didn't have time to write detailed feedback this round so I'll be posting that later. In the meantime, here's some general feedback on how the contest was run:

- Huge props to Kex and Forced for providing results and round-separate ZIPs promptly and including a "story" that was fun to read every week. I seriously can't believe we got BR results before Simfile Tycoon results, but here we are...How did I miss this???
- Recommending that the highest and lowest vote for each file gets thrown out to counteract outlier votes. Technical Showcase does this for example

The tournament has concluded, and one is left standing. The victor will soon be made the King of the Galaxy, and a new era will sweep over the cosmos. It is now that Queen Nebulaurum should begin preparing for her leave, and she didn’t need too much....

She travels away from the kingdom she once knew, and begins on her quest. Looking back, she mutters to herself, “I don’t have much time. I need to get where I’m going…”

After a while of traveling, she finally reaches her destination. “There should be people willing to help on this planet. I just have to know if they’ll be capable.”

Taking out her cosmic binoculars, she scans the planet. After around 10 minutes of looking feverishly, she discovers a group. The group looks like a bunch of adventurers, preparing for a quest of some kind. She likes the idea of a group of skilled adventurers on her side, but she’s not sure if this particular group is ready for the challenges they’ll have to face if they decide to help her.

That’s when she notices one of the adventurers parting from the group, likely to find something that would aid them. That’s when she hatches a plan. She determines that he’s far enough away from the group and makes her way towards him.

The adventurer hears a sudden noise, and stands his guard. “Who? And where are you? Come out!” he shouts. That’s when she decides to appear in front of him and begin explaining her case.

“Be not afraid, I mean no harm. In fact, I am here because I am sure of your group’s great capabilities.”

“...Why so?” he responds.

She continues. “I feel your group could help in benefitting the galaxy. You see, there are terrible things happening out there amongst the stars. Would you care to listen to me explain?”

“Sure, go ahead,” he says.

She then uses the next 20 minutes to explain the circumstances on which she’s come here. Actively listening, the adventurer realizes what danger he and everyone else in the galaxy might be in. He thinks for a moment, and formulates a response.

“I… didn’t realize things were this dire. Well, Nebulaurum, I may have just met you, but I am a pretty trusting person. In any way I can, I’ll help. Just, where do we start? Oh, and my name is Kekkle, by the way.”

“Nice to meet you, Kekkle. And, about that, I have a proposition for you.”

The results are in! Congrats to Daffa and TonyAkita for getting first and second place in this BR! That means that these are the two that will select themes for this year's Summer Contest! Once again, congrats!

It's been a crazy ride. Some things worked, some didn't, but all in all, I'd consider this contest to be a success. Thanks to everyone who put in the time to participate in this pretty experimental Battle Royale. I hope to see you in Summer Contest this year!

To add on to what Kekkle said, I personally want to thank everyone who participated in this contest. It's been a very, very fun time and I hope everyone is satisfied with how the contest was ran. Since this was both Kekkle's & my first time hosting Battle Royale, as well as the first time this new voting system has been used in a main contest, I please ask for any kind of feedback with regards to how this contest was run in any way, doesn't matter if it's about the communication, any possible tweaks to the voting system (an outlier check will definitely be considered), or anything else! Congrats to Daff_4K for winning! This is well-deserved and I've been noticing so much improvement lately with your charts since SC2020. You've consistently provided the competition with fun charts to play with and I hope you keep this up for future contests to come.

Regarding contest feedback, and I'd still like to reiterate it anyway, there should be a rule where a file with a least an 18 must have at least one lower difficulty chart maybe up to 16. Pretty sure nobody wants another instance of a file being too hard to judge just because it only has just one very hard chart. Rate mod might be an option but for the most part, files are judged at their normal speeds.

Also agree with tak's feedback on some sort of outlier filtering system. It's sad some good and more deserving people that actually might still participate in a round getting the boot because of scores being majorly screwed.

@tak - the Simfile Tycoon Deluxe results were out weeks ago lol

First off, congratulations to Daffa for winning the Battle Royale. His simfile rocks.

Second, holy crap! Thanks to everyone who voted on FLY LIKE A BUTTERFLY! 2nd place! Woo!

Third, everyone did a great job on their simfiles. It was a good contest, and I look forward to the next one... the Summer Contest 2020! Daffa and I will do our best in hosting this one. Until then, see you in two weeks!

Feels like I'm quite late to post about my thought for this contest (I'm getting distracted by many things). But here it is.



First, thanks for everyone for voting for my Round 5 entry! I didn't expect that my "SCREW// owo // SCREW" did very well than I thought. During the process of stepping the song, I always thought about "Ah, I think my simfile aren't quite satisfying" or "Nah, I already hosted the contest before, and I feel kind of lazy to win lol" and the others. After the votes, turns out it was pretty well received. Once again, thanks for everyone for the supports! By the way, who hosted the Summer Contest twice or more?

Second, congratulations to TonyAkita for becoming the 2nd host for the next Summer Contest with me. And you deserve it. Hopefully, we can run the contest more fun!

Finally, thanks for the hosts and everyone for making the contest fun! Also, you all did a great job on making the simfiles for the contests!
