I don't think it's possible as of right now. No one had really thought of doing that. Maybe it might be possible in the future, but right now? That's a bit of a stretch.

is it at all possible to get any of the other PiX from (at least, the ps2 version of) Stellar Master Mode? Mostly interested in Twin Hearts, Phantom and Pizzabox. I tried to see if I could get the videos myself but my computer is pretty crummy lol. unsure if it is possible or not based on what ive seen.

Hey there. I have a random movies issue and figure this is the best place to ask since its closely related topic.
I run Stepmania 5.0.1.12 (i believe that's the full ver.) and can't get the random movies to really play random movies.
(ex: if I play the same song 4 times it'll show the same dancer vid 4 times.)
Is there any way I can have it run truly random movies instead of having it save the 1 random movie to the same song.

I'd really like to know the answer as well. I find that my random movies don't shuffle order in the game unless I remove or add any files within my RandomMovies folder - and even after then, it's as typeCHAOS described: the same video plays over and over for the same song.
It kind of feels like a "random movie file distribution" feature rather than "random movies" feature. Which is ok with me, but having the movies change up for the same song in the same play session would be nice.

The best answer I can give is I use this theme and it Has a random option that works amazing when you have chracters in the SN character folder

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, AND for a reason that's not 100% topic. But following up on typeCHAOS's question, I learned that the newest version of Outfox actually corrects this so that vids in the RandomMovies are actually random (i.e. you play a song more than once, you'll see different vids each time). I've been resisting Outfox for so long for no other reason than sheer laziness, but was really happy today to see this feature was included!!!

Yeah from the Starlight GitHub page, this ended up being implemented as SNCharacters. You can find all the dancing character videos there.

Apologies for bringing up an old topic. But when installing the SN Characters folder, and selecting it in the theme options (DDR A3 Theme), it doesn't seem to find it and never uses the videos in that folder. It defaults to the backgrounds image. Is there a specific location it needs to be for Stepmania to find it? Any help is much appreciated.
