I screamed at Cortana to play High Contrast but she kept acting like my vision was impaired

Well, you could search in etternaonline/stepmaniaonline's database as well (it is much larger than the ZIv database and there may be songs from artist that don't have any in this one), but be wary most of the packs have keyboard (and consequently not pad) files
Alternatively you could learn how to make the files yourself
For simfile creation, i heavily recommend using arrowvortex, and not stepmania's native editor
It's very easy to use and has a lot of nifty features (such as a waveform viewer and a bpm/offset finder)
Here's some guides to help you in this journey
basics
how to sync (for both the basics and sync guides, replace any instance of mixmeister with arrowvortex, the latter is more accurate but still not 100%)
how to graphics
patterns
one | two | three | four (marking footswitches/intentional doublesteps with mines is heavily recommended)
Also, playtest your files
as in, using the numpad as a "pad" and the fingers as "feet"
it really helps with finding doublesteps and the like
And no, most of us don't recieve payment for files, we do them for free

How much do people pay for all five dance difficulties fleshed out on a song with something like:
BBDEC
b(40-90 steps)
b(80-180 steps)
d(160-360 steps)
e(320-720 steps)
c(640-1440 steps)?
I would guess like $5 per difficulty level right?
which would be outrageous because it takes several hours for a pro to put together. That pay would be ridonculously unfit for a career.

Plus, y'know, if you wanted stepcharts for these artists' music, you could learn to stepchart.

I have indeed stepped something by The Faint (although not publically).
But yeah, if you want something done, it's much, much easier to do it yourself.

The resources and recommendations have been really helpful.
Any youtube demonstrations of a simfile being created that you know are good and highly recommend?
