Since it's nearing the end of the week, here's my feedback for all 7 other files:



Extremely good charts all around, and I gave at least 1 point to every file. It's at the point where I started getting picky about patterning I like/don't like and who was more ambitious with their charts.

I'd like to request feedback on my file (Beyond The Geostationary Orbit Level) if anyone wants to offer it.

It was great to see your journey throughout the tournament, leading all the way into the final round. We'll be looking forward to seeing what you have to offer in the future.

Throughout the tournament you've put out nothing but solid files with great energy. Loved your song selection as well. I had been listening to WWW nonstop for like a week prior, so I got super psyched (and paranoid maybe lol) when you submitted it.

Considering how close this was, as well as netting 5th, 3rd, and 2nd place finishes leading up to it, you put up a great fight, and it's probably a well deserved vacation from all the behind the scenes work. I'd like to say thank you again for giving me this opportunity as the new host.

One point separations can even happen in the finals. Grabbing two 5th place and one 3rd place finishes, with some downright bangers might I add, your files are always something to look forward to.

Fantastic files from start to finish. I'll go on record saying NANI THE FUCK may be my favorite tournament file I've encountered so far.

A solid climb into the final round, capped off with a killer chart that may be your best work yet for a 3rd place finish. Only way from here is up in terms of what you can put out in the future.

Yeah, it's me. When I started doing these tournaments back in 2018 I didn't really have any sense of style or patterning, just tapping out what I thought was fun and not really seeing any reason to change it. Over the years going through everyone else's files and seeing what works and what to look for has really affected the way I approach each file, and I'm still far from done learning. Thanks to everyone for your support these last few months, it was a huge honor to host my first tournament, and I hope to see you all back for the next one.

But of course I don't want to take too much of your time, we have one more person we need to recognize, don't we?

It was a long time coming to say the least. Placing in the top 5 for the entire tournament, only to top it off with a legendary 19 for the grand finale, as well as receiving the highest total votes overall, we can all agree that this was well deserved.

Man, what a legendary final round.

Really really really, really ecstastic to have won this. My first time winning a week and a contest! With a 19 at that!!!
It's been about a year since I submitted my first contest file (for SC2019) and I wouldn't have expected to climb to the top back then.
After losing by one vote in Simfile League I was really fired up to win this contest, and seeing every file I make reach Top 5 but not quite make it all the way was both simultaneously discouraging and encouraging. Making a 19 was a risk I was planning to take from the beginning of the contest, so to say the least I'm relieved to see it pay off!

Some scattered thoughts on Battle Royale files:
- Congrats to Van Eden for runner up, ForcedNature for 3rd and to every other finalist. This round was seriously impressive
- Kex, Marten, led and Ian being dropped from the second cutoff was very unexpected for me. I really hope to see them all again in Summer Contest
- Shame that blank's votes for Week 1 didn't go through. I can't help but wonder what kind of files he would've released if he made it through the first cutoff
- First time running into t7r, but his charts were also phenomenal. I agree with Van Eden that Nani The Fuck!! was one of the best contest files I've ever seen. Similarly first time seeing gameboy, shorty, and EmeraldX, who made files I really enjoyed
- vona's files have consistently improved through these past few competitions, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next contest
- PenTA_'s charting style is a breath of fresh air in the Ziv meta, so I hope to see him back for more

Congrats to all the winners! You guys all did amazing this BR, and I'm personally really glad to have been able to participate myself. Lots of great files throughout and being able to be introduced to so much great music as well really helped with the fun.

I'm really excited for the Summer Contest as well, so until then, see ya around!

Honestly, I am surprised I made it to the finals. It felt so good to have a chance to be one of the co-hosts for the Summer Contest this year. As VanEden said, it has been quite a journey. Some of my files killed it, others were kind of lame, and some were just damn good. I'm so glad for all the support everyone gave me, and I hope to keep improving. I am so looking forward to SC 2020!
