Z-I-v Battle Royale 2020

Hey everyone, Daniel here.

The 2020 ZIV season is officially in full swing. That means it's time for the Battle Royale!

OVERVIEW
Participants will upload one file each week. The following week everyone will vote on their favorite files. This year there will be two cut offs. The first will be after 3 weeks, in which the bottom 50% of players are eliminated. Then after two more weeks, only the top 50% of those remaining players will move on, with a minimum of 5. Then there will be one final round, with the 2 highest scoring competitors getting to select the themes for the 2020 Summer Contest!

CONTEST RULES
1. You are required to vote if you enter a file. Even if you are eliminated you are still encouraged to vote.
2. You can't vote for your own song (of course silly)
3. One file per round, so make it count!
4. Files must be uploaded by the deadline, NO EXCEPTIONS
5. We will be using the new sub-category feature to sort files each round. When you are uploading a file, put the round number (ie. Round 1) under "Section", no brackets or anything are needed.
6. If two players are tied at the 50% threshold during the cutoff, they will both advance to the next round.

SIMFILE RULES
1. You must have at least 1 chart. (doubles and other charts are also allowed but not required).
2. Songs will be rated on the X-Scale (out of 20).
3. Songs must be less than 2:30 in length.
4. Pad charts for this contest only, no keyboard charts.
5. Automatically generated steps are not allowed.
6. New simfiles only. You can't re-release a song you've already done.
7. Graphics are not needed for a song but are HIGHLY recommended. If you do not have graphics, someone else can make some on request or a placeholder will be provided for you.

VOTING
Each week you will get 15 points to distribute. You can vote for as many files as you want, but you can only give a maximum of 5 points to a single file. Votes will be sent to me via PM.

SCORING
Raw point totals will be used to determine the standings rather than points based on placement for each week. The cut offs will be made based on the total points during each cut off period.

DEADLINE
The deadline for submitting files and voting will be SUNDAYS at 1PM EST

SCHEDULE
(oh god, hopefully this isn't too confusing)

Submissions are open March 8th!
1st Phase:
March 8th - March 15th: Round 1 Submissions
March 15th - March 22nd: Round 1 Voting + Round 2 Submissions
March 22nd - March 29th: Round 2 Voting + Round 3 Submissions
March 29th - April 5th: Round 3 Voting -> First Cut Off

2nd Phase:
April 5th - April 12th: Round 4 Submissions
April 12th - April 19th: Round 4 Voting + Round 5 Submissions
April 19th - April 26th: Round 5 Voting -> Final Cut Off

3rd Phase:
April 26th - May 3rd: Final Round Submission
May 3rd - May 10th: Final Round Voting
Winners will be announced on May 10th
