Last night while playing DDR Universe, I tested something out. It turns out that there's a glitch where instead of going to the CLEARED/FAILED screen after a song ends, you're stuck on the gameplay screen while your character continues to dance in slow motion until you hold down the start button for a couple seconds. I've encountered this glitch for the following songs:
Don't Play Nice
Feels Just Like It Should
Love Is On Our Side
Precious (Sasha's Gargantuan Vocal Mix)
September '99
Horsemen of the Invisible
HOT LIMIT
Nightshade (Diskowarp Easily Amused Mix)
Summer Fantasy
Test Room
However, I've seen gameplay where the glitch doesn't happen for any of these songs. If anyone knows a way to fix this glitch, I'd appreciate it a lot.

I've faced this before, and one solution I've tried is saving the game to the hard drive, my copy of Universe had a few minor scratches when this glitch occurred and saving the game to the HDD fixed the problem, hopefully it does the same for you too. ;)

I have a pre-owned copy of the game, and it's been saved to my hard drive since 2016. So I need to pick up a brand new copy is what you're saying?

No also that's weird, I haven't faced that problem since saving to the hard drive.

Is your hard drive an external one by chance? That's the type of hard drive I have installed, and I normally save all my games and data on there to cut down load times. At this point I'm not sure what causes the glitch, and I hope I can fix it at some point. At least I took note of all the songs that have the glitch in case I forget in the future.

Yes and after some tests with the game on my HDD and off and playing some songs that were listed as having this problem I can say that it is not the disc but some bug or glitch in the game, I'm not sure why my game was like that earlier or why your game is doing it now, I'm gonna guess it's just some random bug at this point.
