Looks great. Only thing I'm iffy about is the courses now using banners instead of jackets. If we can customize that to leave it as jackets then great. Otherwise, gonna have to resize everything again...

I'm sure they've probably already got multiple choice, just like the song wheel.

Hey, I'm a huge fan of the theme! Runs great and I love the space asthetic! The only two issues I've had with it are the screen filter not displaying behind the arrows no matter which option I choose, and when I sort the songs by level I want them to be displayed alphabetically. If anyone knows how to fix these that would be much appreciated!

Something I was thinking about earlier, can you guys implement turning off Good judgments like Simply Love has? The penny mod made by LTEK super sensitive and it causes things like left+right jumps to trigger goods if an up or down is an 8th note after. I’ve got around this by changing the Good judgment to 0.000000 in preferences.ini but having an option in the theme would be nice and a little more legit than my solution. Also if you do implement this, please make the option save. In simply love that option turns off if you leave the game mode. This would be great for people in my situation because when I want to play on keyboard I enter have no Good window or I have to go reset the judgements to get it back then remove it again when I play on pad.

Finally after 2 years and significant delays, the next major version of STARLiGHT has released! Almost the entirety of the UI has been revamped! We are proud to finally present to you our new envisioning of the DDR STARLiGHT project.

With this release comes new features such as more Menu Background options, Background Music, and a new songwheel! Many quality of life changes have also been made, such as:

■ The addition of Speed Mod Types! (CMod, MMod, and AMod are now selectable!)
■ A pop-up window showing detailed radar information and score info! (Open using Left+Up)
■ The ability to move the Judgment and Combo elements above or below the notefield! (Change in Theme Options > Gameplay Options)

In addition to this release, the theme is now Open Source! Although it is a new release, there are some bugs that we were unable to fix in time for the release date. Please visit the Issues tab in the GitHub repository to see known bugs or to report ones that have not been found yet. You are also free to fork the project and submit code changes if you'd like.

We hope you enjoy the theme!

Actually found something 00 FolderHandling.lua doesnt work when trying to organize all of my DDR Songs.

LAST question i promise, how do i get rivals to work? i see that the folder is empty in the rivals folder

This is so crisp and sweet! Waiting till the support for the Real 3d dancers gets updated and then this will be my go too!

I'm having nothing but issues with this. No matter what version of StepMania I use I get a blank screen when I try to leave the gameplay section of customization. Trying to leave the customization menu just doesn't work at all, pressing enter on the exit button makes the confirmation sound but does nothing. Since I had to update to 5.3 to try this out (using 5.1 new gave me a message at the beginning that it's not supported) I had to resync my machine but it outright crashed after. I sync by playing Kick The Can ESP with assist tick on (F7) and pressing F6 twice to adjust machine sync. After the song when it asked if I wanted to save the changes StepMania froze then crashed. It looks very nice but its been a disaster to try and use, tbh.

Edit: It's actually just crashing when trying to get to the results screen in general, it's got nothing to do with syncing. I copied my offset over from my old install (it's off, but I'm assuming that's a 5.3 issue and it's just syncing different from 5.0.12) and tried playing a song and it made the sounds of the results screen but never showed anything but the background, then it crashed. What version of 5.3 is this for? I got the most recent version.

Could you provide your log.txt, timelog, crashlog, and system specs?

I already deleted 5.3, I didn't delete my 5.0.12 install just in case I had issues, so the log is gone. As for my specs, I have a 5700xt, i5-9400, and 16gb of RAM. The theme almost works in 5.0.12 btw. I could play songs and alter machine sync and all that fun stuff. The theme options menu issues still existed though, and setting speed mods was broken which is weird because that +1 +.25 -.25 -1 speed mod set up works in other themes like overhell's ITG2.

Love, love the update. It seems to work pretty well in 5.0.12 for now. Like the new cover music wheel option, and a couple of the new menu music options.

However, there are a couple critiques:
1. Maybe a personal thing, but not a fan of courses now using banners instead of jackets, and the overall course layout. I thought Starlight XX v.1 did it better. Perhaps an option that allows us to choose a course layout as well?

2. On the music wheel, I've noticed the select arrows no longer bounce with the beat of the music as they do in v.1. Perhaps a minor detail, but something noticed.

3. I dunno if it's me, but I can't change the sort at the music wheel. I've hit left+right at the same time and nothing, and also the up+down+up+down code, but the sort menu doesn't appear. Also, other musicwheel codes don't seem to work -- to open/close info panel, close group, or sort menu.

4. Speaking of sorting, I know I brought this up weeks ago, but I'm still unable to get group jackets to appear on the music wheel when doing Preferred Sort as in other themes, even when changing the jacket names to "jacket" and other variations. Jackets do show in Group sort though.

For this one you have to turn on Dedicated Arcade buttons. I changed it manually in the preference.ini (If using outfox its in your save folder, NOT your theme folder)

Okay, I just happened to fix the issue with jackets not showing up in Preferred sort. Something just randomly dawned on me last night to try and it worked. I still think it's a bit of a workaround as it's a missing thing in all Starlight installs:

1. In \Themes\STARLiGHT\Graphics\_jackets there are different folders for sorting (Group, Title, etc), but the \Preferred folder is missing. So you have to create that folder and put your series jackets in there.

2. Once you put the series jackets in the new \Preferred folder, you have to rename those jackets to their appropriate series so they show up on the MusicWheel correctly (e.g. DDR UNIVERSE2, DDR A20, DDR EXTREME, etc.).

3. In \Themes\STARLiGHT\Other, edit SongManager PreferredSongs.txt file to sort the way you want, but the group titles should match what you named your jackets.

I'd bet this method also works for Starlight v2 as well, as I just looked at it's _jackets folder, and the \Preferred folder is missing there as well.
