DJMAX RESPECT V (Steam)

IDK where you got that info, but this will be identical to the PS4 version because V is basically a clone of the PS4 version with new features and songs added so this will have all the DLC from the PS4 version plus a continuation which includes Portable 3, Tune, Online and more. SO yes this will have every song from DJMAX series from the PS4 version. Right now it just has the initial default stuff due to early access, it's not fully released yet. The DLC will be included in an all DLC pack for purchase later.

I think AxelWasHere was referring to "every song" as every song from the original games to DLC, not in terms of PS4 Vs. Steam, which he is correct about. Its not every single song ported to the DLC but the most popular from the respective titles.

The only songs that haven't made the cut when the DLCs came out on PS4 were mainly licensed songs (Classaquai being the only exception); that being said, just about every original from their respective games have shown up so far. The only missing ones, to my knowledge, are the ones from Online, and maybe one other game?

I could be wrong, but I'd need to see some kind of list of what the missing songs are, and maybe something that notes whether they're licensed or originals.

What we still have left are Portable 3, Online, Ray, Technika Tune and Technika Q. Ray, Technika Tune and Q will most likely be small DLC packs. They haven't said anything about these 3, but they all have amazing songs and it would be a waste.

Depending how they feel we could also get Tapsonic DLC too.

We did get Tok!Tok!Tok! so thats 1 song

Part of me is a bit worried future DLC isn't going to have their charts keysounded; none of the new licenses so far nor Tok!Tok!Tok! have that, and it kinda annoys me only because I can't nail the timing down like I'm able to if they were keysounded. >>

Im pretty sure licenses arent keysounded cause the artists couldnt provide all the sound files. and Tok!Tok!Tok wasnt key sounded in the first place cause it just had ticks as their key sound for Tap Sonic

Note that none of the songs are keysounded, and I don't think these are licenses, either. Please tell me them not keysounding their new songs isn't going to be a thing. I get that they can't do the licenses, but their originals shouldn't have any problems... >>

I kinda wonder something, though: When the game gets released, are the achievements going to be back to being like the PS4 version once Arcade and Mission modes are added, and maybe it will get harder to level up because of it?

Oh, and in case anyone missed it, the game won Best New Release at the Steam Awards! Pretty awesome, considering this is a niche genre.

I'm pretty sure the new songs that comes with the new update are licensed songs. Specifically from NoCopyrightSounds.

That sentence sounds so ironic on the surface (a license from NoCopyrightSounds), but I guess you're right. Oh well. XD

I don't know exactly which ones weren't included but I do know it crippled the Trilogy pack a bit, as it lacked licenses and a few originals IIRC.
In general, some licenses weren't included likely due to rights issues, and most Online content was excluded (some later added in with patches, but nothing substantial).
IDK what this "only the popular ones" thing is about, though. Far from the case. Dev team have stated that their mission is to have every single song from the series included in playable form. Licensing is merely a bitch, especially with what very little I know about Korean copyright.

I've read on the DJMAX reddit and Discord that they've said they will implement keysounds for the licensed music in a future update but I can't find any source on that.

That being said, aside from the game sync being VERY early with no way to adjust it currently I'm having a blast, haven't played any of the games since Trilogy so this is a huge step up in terms of songlist, performance and graphics. 8B kicks my ass aha that one extra button really throws me off.

5B is also surprisingly hard on keyboard!

Can't wait to see what kind of messed up keyboard config is going to be for the XB missions, once those are added. XD

They just dropped an all song unlock pack for the basic songs. All the new originals and the Portable 1 and 2 stuff that was originally locked at the beginning of the game. Kinda nice since I grinded so much when I played on the PS4 and I don't wanna have to grind again for all this. Definitely will be picking this up.

There's an easier way to unlock all the songs..

Just AFK on Air Mode/Sleep with Air Mode on and it'll unlock all the songs for you in one night.(Auto Play off)

^^ that's what I did aha and I don't feel too bad about it. They locked a lot of the songs I recognised and wanted to play until near the end, Blythe, Sin ~the last scene~ etc aha. Would've taken an age to get there naturally.
