When I checked the pinouts for my control box, it stated that start and select are 11 and 12, but my box isn’t set up like that. There are only six wires in total, so 1-5 for me goes to the ground, up, down, left, and right, but start and select seem to be connected. Does my remaining wire go to a second ground at 15? Or does it go to 11 or 12? I checked the pinouts online and they’ve only confused me even more. I had to buy a new male connector because the old one had pins that broke off, so I need to make sure before I solder the wires to my new connector. The wire that’s causing the confusion is orange/white.
Tl;dr Do I solder the orange/white wire to the second ground pin at 15 or to the pin at 11(or 12) for the start button? A ground from the board goes through the resistor and both the start and select buttons before going to this wire.
I can provide more images if necessary but this image was to show the version of the box. (Most of the versions seem to have different shapes for their control boxes. (I bought this replacement around 2011-2012)
