I don't think you get it. It's based on 80's super sentai/super hero music, it's overdramatic and showman and it's intended to sound like this.

Jeff, you can't tell people that their personal opinion on what the song sounds like to them is wrong. People listen to and interpret music in their own ways. For instance, cali_surfer_788 is saying that the song's vocals is hard on their ears. You can't tell them it's supposed to sound like that because someone else might actually like how it sounds. Long story short, music is a subjective experience.

Obviously you don't get it either. Japanese Super Sentai and anime hero music from the 80's had strong loud vocals to symbolize the excitement and thrills of the picture or series they were made for, it's supposed to sound like this. Sharpnel is nailing this style of music from back then. Cali_surfer doesn't have to like it it's his opinion, but this is the way music for these shows was like back then. It's hard on the ears but it drummed up excitement for these shows he was basing this song on.

The song can be based on Super Sentai and still be a bad song. If you like it that's fine but only because it's based on something doesn't excuse it from any criticism.

I completely get where its coming from, and I can appreciate the concept, but I don't like the vocals. I also realize the song kind of needs those vocals to be what it is trying to be, which is why I specifically mentioned a remix rather than just removing the vocals. I grew up on watching Japanese anime and super sentai shows and their knockoffs, and I didn't like the cheesy over sung vocals then either, but its part of the shtick.

The SHARPNEL song is definitely a step up above his songs with Mirai, but it's not saying a lot.

A Japanese arcade recently did a 2-hour stream showing off the Lightning Model, including footage of the touchscreen. Part of me was kinda hoping it was gonna show the song title/info on the touchcreen for some reason; the ticker was the only way for most of us to see romanized versions of Japanese song titles. At least we have RemyWiki. ^^;

That was a cool stream, and it's nice to see how both screens look. The touchscreen seems kinda pointless to me, but I'm sure Konami wanted a fresh way to replace the aging original models.

It's really weird looking at the mockup on the right side though, since it looks like the IIDX machine is playing itself

This sounds like Pollinosis 2.0. A lot more ominous-sounding too.

is Bow Shock supposed to glitch out? it seems to get choppy, similiar to what certain BMS do when they momentarily pause the noteflow. but it doesnt seem to happen in the same spot every time... admittedly ive only played the DPA so far.

The first time I heard Bow Shock on a stream the game flat out lagged and became way off sync. The song seems to cut abruptly too. Hopefully they'll patched them.
