Well, that blows.
Unless ALL Round1 locations get the Lightning Model (and I seriously mean ALL, because my location still doesn't have the DDR Gold cab. :/ ), I'm pretty disappointed, even though in the darkest corner of my mind, I was expecting it.

That's exactly what they're doing. Literally.
At best, Konami will add these months later or in an unlock event. At worst, it'll be until 28th style to unlock them with in-game currency.

Anyone know what Eisei Dan is yet, btw? It's clear it's the IIDX equivalent of Golden League, but I don't really know what the difference is. Is it Class mode, but the songlists dynamically change? Or maybe you have to touch the touchscreen as some horrible gimmick?

According to Remywiki, Eisei Dan basically lets you replay Class mode courses you've passed, but you have to finish it 5 times in a row to pass it, while each time the notes alternate between regular and mirror mode, and you start with the lowest life gauge percentage you've had in a song.
In other words, it's nothing really exciting. XD
Oh, and you can also turn off the flashy lights on your side of the cabinet
...

If they are, it will likely take at least a month for cabs to begin showing up. Round1's Twitter and website don't have any hints (so far) about getting the machines (they did hint at the DDR gold cabs a bit before the official announcement, if my memory serves).

On one had, I feel like I would like that a lot more if it didn't have lyrics, because it sounds like one of those intentionally bad try to sing songs from that album that came out a while ago. On the other hand, I like the actual song behind it. Maybe someone will remix it in the future into something easier on the ear.
