Anyone want to make final bets on what the Lightning Model is going to be like?

I'm thinking that the 2nd screen (which is obviously replacing the news ticker) is going to not only show the song title, but also show "cover art", and when you're in song select, you can use it as a touchscreen to finely tweak mods/calibration settings/etc.

I’m guessing it’ll just show equalizer controls during gameplay along with song information text.

It could also act as more screen space for score graphs.

Now here's something that wasn't in the loctest build: multi-language selection!


Basically, they're pulling off a DDR A20 on this release.

Looks like some more new songs were not shown but seen in the song wheel. Hyped that Beautiful Harmony got in. Also can't wait to hear the new Maozon trance song.

I CALLED IT, DUDES!

I'm so happy we finally, FINALLY, can play IIDX in English for the first time in arcades. (And you don't even need to be in 2007 Naperville, IL to do it.)

Any word about the Lightning cabinet yet?

I'm going to bet they are going to pull a DDR and show off the cab at the next KAC, and then have the IIDX finals on the Lightning Model.

This might be one of the strongest song rosters at launch in years; out of all the songs I've heard so far, there's not as many "ehh, that sounds generic AF" songs as there were in past games.

I've liked all of the 5 videos I've seen so far, with Virus Funk, Rave Lithosphere, and Techno Style Essentials standing out the most for me

(Seriously, why haven't we seen a DJ Setup album yet? We've received two excellent Seiryu albums, but outside of a couple songs appearing on one of the DJ Taka albums, there's still no dedicated Setup album; would've loved to hear what a full version of Nemesis would sound like. )

Virus Funk, Silly Love, and the new Akhuta song are the best songs I've heard so far.

Part of me is hoping someone will record footage of the interface in English; I kinda wanna see what it all looks like, especially since you don't have a lot of time to browse all of it (especially if you're changing the timing calibration, pacemaker, etc. And if Class mode is officially Class mode in English, or if it's under a different name.)

I wonder why Time Free is translated, but not Premium Free? I don't think US cabs can access Time Free. 0-o

I still feel fortunate to have experienced IIDX GOLD in Naperville back in the day, that was an amazing thing But this is amazing, I honestly never would've imagined they would officially support a language selection option in IIDX.

Time Free is accessible everywhere on the usual day (Wednesday in Japan, Tuesday for us). It's one of the daily bonuses introduced in Sinobuz (the current set of bonuses was set by Cannon Ballers). This also applies to Time Hazard and Time Hell. Premium Free is the only mode that requires PASELI.

What's curious is that the DJ VIP PASS screen isn't translated either (according to a Remywiki edit), as that's also available to all regions with the daily bonuses.

I see a Notes Radar Data in there...is this similar to DDR's My Groove Radar function that was dropped in Ace?

Just got back from Round1, where the Moreno Valley location just updated to Heroic Verse not long after I stepped food inside.

I was originally going to wait until the weekend to make the trip, but I'm going to the Museum of Pinball on Saturday, and I figured I'd take a chance to visit R1 today out of hopes we'd get the update.

Anyways, it's so nice to have everything in English (even if Step Up is untranslated, you get the basic gist of what you need to do)! For the first time since I started playing IIDX on legit hardware in 2012, I was able to turn on the FAST/SLOW counter, and set up a pacemaker!

Timing felt really good (and before you guys ask, the "expanded Good timing" has been patched by the time I played), and I met about 2-3 other people who were similar to my skillset or better. (In the offchance you guys are reading this, I was the guy in the blue Bob's Burgers shirt. XD)

Only downside was that someone ripped Camera B from the machine and stole it since last time I was there, so I was not able to scan in any of the QR- excuse me, "2D codes".
