You're just learning this now? The song shop has always been exclusive to the basic course. And yes it's annoying. You also need the basic course to gain access to customizations like lane covers, noteskins, note explosions, full combo splashes and more. They lock all the extra's behind the basic course eamuse subscription, it's been like this as long as I can remember. And yes if you wait till 28, all Rootage songs will be unlocked for normal play. All event unlocks and extra stage unlocks from 2 styles behind will be forced unlocked for normal play when 2 versions are up.

The new Shadow Rebellion song is Prim.

The only Shadow Rebellion song I have even remotely liked was the first one. What is up with this extra stage system being called "Shadow Rebellion" and having a bunch of goofy nonsense songs?

All of the SR songs have characters returning from other songs and they're being attacked by that monster you see in the song select screen. I assume the conclusion song of the event will answer the fate of what happens to them a la a classic super hero setup of a climatic battle. Musically the event has been mixed bag at best being 4 songs in.

It feels so weird that we can now actually play a new Extra Stage exclusive song whenever we want, after a decade of not being able to because reasons. Now we can have First-World IIDX problems and complain that the only song out of those 4 that's decent is Formalhaut. And maybe Tricoroider, because I appreciate the Kamen Rider/Power Ranger theme parody going on, there.

Yeah I'm a fuckin' scrub, I barely even know how to change basic settings within the game. The only thing I ever used that basic thing for was enabling fast/slow in DDR.

Not that this is any use at the moment, but good news (once this outbreak blows over): The Lightning Model stuff (and even the VIP Pass and Paseli info) is now finally translated to English!

VIP Pass Black shows up every Saturday our time. The only part of that updated translation that isn't usable in the US is the paseli purchasing.

Sigh.

Unless Konami's gonna somehow let us play Heroic Verse at home, releasing a new content update during a pandemic's not wise on their part. X_X

You know, you can just wait for the unlockables to be available by default on the next version.

Even if arcades were open around my hometown of Philadelphia (which they aren't), the current riots going on would kill any interest in me going there.

You do realize Japan is in a better spot as far as the pandemic they have very low cases now you know that right? Arcades are open now there, Dolce has been playing at his arcade, they want updates. Plus this game isn't catered to our country and they are allowed to release content updates there, this has nothing to do with us. If japan wants to keep releasing content updates for their country they are allowed to. IIDX isn't even officially released here despite the new circumstances of the game here in the US, so don't cry and moan about the pandemic and this game when things are looking better over there and they want new updates for the game. Stop whining. And Heroic Verse at home is never happening, CS is done, get with the program, all we have left is Infinitas. We both live in the US, you should know better. Konami don't care about the US, they never have, they're not gonna stop because the US is worse off than everywhere else, they're not here to cater to the US, they're not gonna go by the rest of the world as far as the pandemic, they're on the downtrend, so they're going to resume updates regardless of the rest of the world. You also should know this midnightclub. Seriously I don't know why you're acting like this.
