D&B ordered new DDR A cabs?

So I'm hearing that D&B apparently ordered new DDR A cabs, because the 50 order limit was lifted, and that these cabs are going to be replacing old Pump DX cabs. (allegedly because DDR A cabs are now cheaper than Pump LX cabs)

Can anyone else confirm this? I'm seeing all sorts of people saying different things about the situation.

It's a bit of a shock because I actually asked the D&B Facebook page about Pump cabs, and they told me that all DX cabs are being replaced with LX cabs, but now I'm seeing multiple people say that D&B changed plans and is now ordering 28 DDR A cabs to replace those Pump DX cabs instead.

I hope it comes to the state I live in.

Point blank guys, Konami has no interest in releasing A20 to America. There were talks with D&B about getting A20, but outside of those, which last I heard died, there will be no American release. A20 will be exclusive to Round 1, Japan build, no premium mode, no unlocks, that's it.

This is coming from people that are close to sources at Konami like Anthony and Aaron that talk to arcades and sources who know what they're talking about I'm just relaying what they're saying. As much as we wanna believe A20 is coming here in any capacity besides Round 1, it's not happening. D&B tapped out of it because they're not releasing it here.

We have pretty solid proof that the white cabs are going to be upgraded to run A20, which means the US will have more access to A20 eventually. It doesn't really matter if gold cabs get an American release anyway because like he said in his own post, DnB has no interest in purchasing new cabs, so why would konami release American gold cabs when R1 is the only one buying them?

maybe the gold cabs won't be widely available but the game itself should come, plus upgrade kits haven't happened at all yet so it's hard to say, and we're the first country to actually get A20 outside of Japan, and Konami spent alot of money to bring Ace here and it's run didn't seem too bad tbh i don't see why Konami would not continue to release more DDR here, it's not like X2 lmao owo

This makes me wonder how R1 is going to handle the white cabs when A20 gets released for them: Are they gonna let them update to A20, and this give us an "American version" that lets us access premium mode? Or are they gonna keep it A just so everyone can catch up on unlocks for that game? >>

Previous game updates have been automatic. I don't think there's even a choice to refuse an update. However, whether there will be a network update for the U version is anybody's guess, as it might be sold as an upgrade kit instead, depending on whether the U version following the revenue sharing setup that the Asian versions do (which I don't think it does).

Also, I believe Uniana has been handling the distribution of the U version for around a year and a half or so? That's about the time my local Round1 got a second DDR A machine again.

Ace was an automatic over-the-air update for DDR 2014 if I'm remembering correctly. I can't see why A20 wouldn't be the same thing when it shares its servers and shit with Ace
