I think it'd be better for the rhythm game community as a whole to realize you don't need to beg Konami on your hands and knees to get some fucking rhythm games on mobile. You should probably be supporting the independent ones that were 100% DESIGNED for mobile instead of acting like Konami making trash is such a huge blow. It isn't. This is just Diet INFINITAS that you now have to play on a tiny screen. Can't get behind it one bit.

I'm surprised they didn't turn this game into a gacha style game. I was legit expecting them to do something like "get 50 V-Discs to do a 10 pull gatcha where you might get a random song in certain difficulty".

Though I'm not sure if this game having a subscription system is a better idea than that one

You're witnessing how Konami has covertly been destroying the community this past decade due to their schalgwerk'd decisions. The IIDX community was so much close-knit back when they released games of actual quality. For example, the PS2 IIDX CS era; there was much excitement from everyone with very little complaints.


Both jubeat plus and REFLEC BEAT plus were not 100% arcade-accurate, but they came pretty close and translated the arcade experience very well to mobile tablets especially. There were hardly any complaints from fans; they both were excellent AC conversions....I'm afraid the same cannot be said for such a demanding/complex feature-complete game such as beatmaniaIIDX.

You say the subscription model doesn't look too bad. You know, the best part about jubeat plus and REFLEC BEAT plus was the fact that they weren't tied to an online-only subscription service, thus allowing players to play anytime, anywhere unhindered and even after Konami dropped support. In my opinion, the ULTIMATE MOBILE subscription model is not good for consumers...let's see now:

And finally, once support is dropped, say goodbye to all your money spent as well as the ability to even play the game.

As a consumer, I will pay high dollar for good quality games, not half-digested bones thrown to shut us up.

Anyway, I agree that IIDX is probably not the best thing to convert to mobile devices; its controls are too complex for tiny screens.

Pretty much this. It's ultimately more harmful for end users in the long run. This is why clandestine means have arisen because Konami insists on putting crap before quality. Anti-consumer practices before releasing a product people will buy because it's a good product. Everything is becoming a subscription it's terrible. EA, Konami, Microsoft, Sony,Ubisoft etc they all are trying to sell something monthly much like TV and movies streaming. Yes you don't have to subscribe to them, and I will continue to refuse to.
