I know it's too early to tell based on the video shown, but it looks like there's new choreography for the characters in this game, instead of the ones from Ultramix and X. I can't seem to recall those dances being used in any Dance Evolution choreography either, so I'm wondering who choreographed this. Maybe Yossi?

I'm also curious to see what other assets they might take from DanceEvolution ARCADE as well, since the the two main dancers, the street stage and that other stage (I don't know how to call that, lol) seem to be confirmed, along with those background dancers. Who knows what they might add next.

I wonder if any of the regular ddr characters will be used in the final product. Also does anyone think that if this is subscription based that it will constantly be updated with new content?

With the game so far from release, it would'nt surprise me if they scrap the DanEvo videos entirely (which are from Unity and L'amour, for what it's worth).

But for a mobile game where all you're doing is playing DDR charts that seems like people will use for practice, this is the last game where I was expecting any depth in the BG dancers. Unlike Dance Wars that had a story going for it... rip.

That all being said, it looks fun enough. The availability of the pad will be what does or doesn't spice this up, I think.

I think they'll keep them because the JAEPO demo from 7-8 months also had them, and nothing has been said about the game since until now and the TGS demo still has the dancevo graphics

X_X i was pretty hyped and watched it and like the chat got completely bombed when they skipped past it only showing off a handful of other titles

It's not cancelled. It's just probably the least far in development right now so it didn't get a live demo.

they literally still had it playable at TGS even after they didn't show it in the livestream, and the lack of its presence at the livestream that's because it's coming later in 2020, and thus more info will be revealed when it gets closer to that date

There's also the fact that unlike the other mobile BEMANI games they announced, Konami's making brand-new controllers for DDR, as well as adding in licenses, which can take a long time to clear.

I am looking forward to an official hard pad from Konami. If you look a few pages back there is gameplay that was shown from the floor of TGS this game is not canceled. I just wish they gave us some more information about a *fingers crossed* international release and some more information about the subscription service.

JAEPO came and went and new details are revealed:
The songlist will at least have one song from each mix in the normal songlist. The UI is also changed to resemble more of Ace (not A20 weirdly enough) and seems to borrow from the fellow ultimate mobile counterpart iidx
This was not mentioned on here before afaik but pre-registration rewards were 3 albums from in-house BEMANI artists, presumably ones that were held back due to the BST fiasco so yeah
It's probably going to be JP-only as I saw a sheet containing info about KONAMI's upcoming mobile games(?) on twitter and the sheet indicates what region the game will be in and DDR only has japan for now, but we'll see

I would find it basically impossible. Mobile games are meant for your face to be, like, a foot away. Not to mention you're gonna need a hella weird setup to avoid snapping your neck looking down at it.
