I don't really see the two as comparable. Tohoku EVOLVED was a perfectly fine inclusion in context (the final jump being the only thing different between charts was and still is one of the most clever things Konami has done, also it's a touching tribute to that devastating earthquake from around its release) and was different enough from London EVOLVED that I could conceivably see it as its own thing. LA EVOLVED, while a fine track, is not all that different from tokyo EVOLVED and also has no main gimmick to play it for - because let's be honest, the EVOLVED series is a big gimmick. Also it's a NAOKI track and I don't think they're reviving any of those any time soon

just to note about the EVOLVED series, each evolved song is a tribute to a disaster/attack that had happened in the past.
Tohoku EVOLVED = 2011 Tsumani
New York EVOLVED = 9/11 2001
London Evolved = IDK but it's probably historical in some way
roppongi EVOLVED = IDK either but must have been historical in some way
Tokyo EVOLVED = Subway Attack in the 90's
Osaka EVOLVED = Bombing during WW2
L.A. EVOLVED = L.A. Riots

You'd be right about KONAMI not reviving it on current mixes due to the artist though.

Something about a night club attack during the early 2000's so, while not historical, it could be that.

Almost every city has had major disasters in the last 100 years. Dont think most of them were picked for that specific reason.
That being said, London evolved was made right after the 2012(?) London riots and in her. A you can hear police sirens during the slowdown.

just over a week till it's release now. We've had the Dan courses and some NONSTOP courses added during the "early bird" period.
I'm hoping they do something "newer" in terms of unlocking for this mix. We've had the heat gauge since DDRX2 and has become the standard since DDR 2014 now so we can definitely use something else now.

I hope they have something planned, Golden League is a cool unlock system in theory but unless you live really close to a gold machine you're fucked.

I'm super excited to see what the main "boss" event is going to be for this game. DDR 2014 had Replicant-D-Ignition, ending in Egoism/Over the Period, and DDR A had Rinon's Adventure, ending in Endymion.

With all the new bangers in this mix, I imagine the final boss song is going to be brutal.

The release date given is the 24th. However, I will be very surprised if the US machines are updated to A20 over the network. If upgrade kits have to be shipped out for the US cabs, I expect it will take some time for it to get around here (unless they started being shipped in advance, which is plausible).

all of the cities the evolved series sans tohoku are named after are just popular cities, (osaka is also naoki's hometown, and roppongi is known for its nightclubs and so if you don't know why that was chosen keep in mind that this is a japanese company that decides what to name the songs after, and they choose what's famously known to them lol)
