Really nice sounding songs, all of them. But there's no way that Future Tom Tom chart is a 15, the hardest thing in that whole song is 5 16ths in a row as a trill. I'd put it at the same level as Romancing Layer.

Aaron said that Mirai (da) FUTURE was supposed to be a 14, so maybe a re-rate's gonna happen sometime in the future.

Uh, BLSTR's chart looks dreadful to me. The music itself is too crowded/messy, at least with headphones where you can hear a bit more of what's going on in the track. And the steps barely even go to what little beat there is. It's a symptom I've seen of a lot of charts lately...

How exactly does Golden League work? How much EX Score do you need to be promoted? I'm trying to get silver, and I know I only get promoted at the end of the period. But how do I know I've reached a high enough EX Score? I'm at ~48k right now.

Check the RANKING section. There, you should be able to see the current scores required for each rank and look at the top 200 players for each rank.

For bronze rank: if you're above the cutoff score listed on the website (currently only 6000) at the end of the Golden League period, you rank up to silver. The cutoff changes constantly as players raise their EX scores throughout the period, but 48k should easily be enough considering the bronze to silver cutoff for the previous Golden League period was only 16k (and you can't jump directly from bronze to gold).

For some details:
• Have You Never Been Mellow balances the cover by The Olivia Project (in the first DDR) and the speed (MM Groovin') remix (from 4thMix and 5thMix) to create a great "just right" remix. It's not too fast or energetic, and the vocals, while imperfect, sound soothing.
• Cartoon Heroes starts nicely, then has a decent verse, but the chorus and ending lacks a good punch. Not a great Aqua tribute.
• Long Train Runnin' honours both the MAX2/Extreme (by Bus Stop) and SN/SN2/X (by X-Treme, ironically) covers by incorporating lyrics from both. I miss MAX2's train video and rap verses, but A20 still delivers a nice tribute.
• Sky High gives a EDM treatment to the DJ Miko cover from Solo 2000 and Extreme. The A20 vocals lack the passion and sorrow of DJ Miko, the talkbox (?) from Combo 130 to 220 (!) sounds out of place, and kiss the signature "Sky Highhhhhhh!" vocal (Solo 2000 megamix, and Extreme's Dancemania course) goodbye. Disagree if you may, but I think this is the worst Legend Licence to date.

it's alright, no complaints (other than asaba's engrish in the chorus. but it's a guilty pleasure)

vocals are bad, instrumental is good

long train runnin - bad
painfully generic summer hit

sky high - very good
i personally don't mind the vocalist, the arrangement is very nice too

Forgive me if this has been posted already but does anyone know if Nonstop Courses (Dani Nintei specifically) is available on US Gold machines?

There is one at my local round 1 and my eAmuse is registered, but there is no category on stage one for nonstop course.

On the A machines there is actually a place to select premium mode after choosing double / single but the Gold machine doesn’t have that.

The tech said he would ask some more senior techs but if anyone knows what needs to be turned on / updated or if it’s just plain disabled in the US that would be helpful.

TIA. I want to get me some DANZ.

Thoughts on the mix.. it’s great but wish there were more songs from 4th Mix Plus and PREMIUM BEST PSX.

the gold machines are japanese imports, so u can't access it for now in the US, when konami sends update kits and an official localized version, u will get to play premium

I think it's rather dumb that courses are premium only for DDR. IIDX and SDVX both have courses available to all players, and the IIDX ones are the same length as the DDR ones.
