I'm going to pass this year, friends. I'm not the biggest fan of the Tycoon and I'd rather use the time getting some ToI'19 files ready so I can focus of judging each week instead of panic-writing files <3

I already have all 8 song submissions in mind. I'm not going to tell you exactly what they are, but I will tell you that my strategy for choosing the songs was to start with a banger and end with a bang.

I'm also going to give you the genres of my song choices.
ROUND A: Electronic
ROUND B: R&B
ROUND C: Rock
ROUND D: Latin
ROUND E: Jazz
ROUND F: Hip-Hop (This song will contain explicit language.)
ROUND G: Country
ROUND H: Experimental (And to whoever ends up getting the song I will be submitting for this round, I apologize in advance.)

I do think the No BEMANI Rule is a good idea, but I also think it's unnecessary. When Marten and I compared the odd and even weeks from last year, it seemed like not many people were submitting BEMANI songs even when they were allowed, and those songs were not usually what won anyway. However, if there begins to be an excess of BEMANI songs compared to other genres, I will definitely consider banning BEMANI songs in certain weeks.

UPDATE: I have not reviewed any of the skeletons yet, so that is why your name hasn't been posted to the sheet yet if you have submitted one. If you have sent one in to me via PM, I will certainly see it and add your username to the spreadsheet this weekend.


I apologize, but due to an injury to myself in real life, I am unable to post the songs at the deadline. They will be posted within 24 hours after the deadline, so you will still have at least 6 days to listen and bid. In the meantime, be sure to review the new bidding rules on the spreadsheet.

The auction results and skeletons will be posted publicly in approximately 3 hours, so stay tuned. I apologize for the delay. I am still trying to figure out the logistics of running this contest while at college. (It doesn't help that the WiFi is restricted to not be used for downloading and uploading large files unrelated to school.) I'll try to have the bidding results and skeletons posted within an hour after the deadline in the future.
