Uh, you realize that isn't the official Sound Voltex Twitter, right? That tweet said it'd have been deleted yesterday, and a quick Twitter search shows that it's still in the game.

I think I now know where the idea and theme for this version came from.

This picture from an arcade says they're getting Vivid Wave in early February. No exact date, but now we have an estimate at least.

Release date?

A look at AUTOMATION PARADISE. This has to be some of the coolest shit I've ever seen in a video game, I'd love to find out how they actually mash the songs up on the fly.

Turns out that the BGM for VIVID WAVE is made NOT by Sota Fujimori, but by PHQUASE instead.

Release date is confirmed for February 28.

Anime songs in SDVX?... could it be the replace to the vocaloid songs?

I'm not suprised that people here didn't comment about the launch yesterday (because a lot of you still need to wait for the upgrade kits), but anyway...


Here's the new in-game tutorial. And yes, RASIS has a voice now.

If you're talking about the Japanese version (which is what the US Round1 locations have), the cabinets should update itself over the internet; the only things we wait for are the marquee/tapestries.

I think the only exceptions might be southeast asia and south korea, because they tend to get their versions a week or two later, but even then, I think they get new versions via updates too.

Anyways, that interface looks so clean! Here's hoping that megamix thing (It's called Paradise mode now) isn't Paseli-exclusive. X_X

The only mode that is still PASELI-exclusive is BLASTER.


The problem is: VIVID WAVE is a hardware upgrade (PCB and camera), and since the new hardware still had to be shipped (and passed through customs), I expect the SEA cabs to be updated in about 3-6 weeks.

Oh thank God; like, I know you can now pay pre-paid Paseli with any credit card now, but R1 USA still won't allow you to pay that way due to legal reasons.



Ohh, so it's like Cannon Ballers. It might be a week or two for the US cabinets to get the hardware upgrade, then; guessing it needs it for that Automation Paradise stuff. >>

I imagine part of the hardware upgrade is to phase out the no longer supported XP embedded (the new hardware runs 7). Also, CB took around a month to get to the R1 in WA, I expect the SDVX upgrade to take around the same time. As a comparison, copula (the last IIDX update before the new versions started being sent over the network apart from hardware changes) took 2-3 weeks, but that was a lot less stuff to ship.

As a side note, as far as I can tell, VW doesn't change anything in regards to PASELI required modes. As mentioned, it's still required for BLASTER, but it's also required for STANDARD START (which is under NORMAL/FRIEND).

LIGHT START now uses PASELI!!!
If you run of coins, you can pay LIGHT START with PASELI on Japan-exclusive cabinets.
PARADISE START uses 2x credits or PASELI.
