Also to note is that characters have SKILLs they can use in Battle mode.



I don't know how it's going to switch between the two modes, but one looks more like Deemo/DJMax RAY while the other's much more like CxB. According to this post by NAOKI you're able to choose a gamemode yourself.



There's also a free play mode because so many people complained about a lack of one in CxB.
RP is back as well.

It's the reunion I've always wanted to see.

Unfortunately, the game is region-locked.

EDIT: Naoki has confirmed on Facebook that it will not remain Japan-exclusive. Phew!!

If we do get a western release, are the Japanese song titles going to be translated/romanized like in music games past, or will they take the modern Konami approach and leave them in Japanese? That'll be interesting to see (And hopefully we'll see other ex-Bemani musicians like Slake, DJ Simon, Tatsh, etc. make an appearance, later down the line! )

Is there no way to turn down the busy as hell graphics in this game? They affect the framerate really badly and make the game nigh unplayable for me. I got a C on the tutorial because I couldn't hit the tap notes at all...

It feels like the Chaos Mode is like a revival of CrossXBeat, and the Simple Mode is like Sound Voltex...

This only applies to the Android version. Rayark also does this (I think) because people would just crack/share the .APK.

Just checked on the Japanese iTune store... It costs 490 Yen to purchase and download the app...

Hopefully this will come stateside without having to have an overseas account.

It's a fun game no doubt.

However in battle, do the CPU seem really, really relentless on some of the songs? It's like they hit so many more 'Fabulous' notes and end up overtaking you by a large margin. Just failed Activate on Normal with 90+ Fabulous judgements. (Granted my knowledge of Japanese is very limited, so not sure if you can change the CPU level)

It's CROSSxBEATS but with different title.

How sad. My phone has only 2GB RAM.

Well, now I know why I can barely run the game then :v

Run nice in a Samsung A20, but lack of the timing is not tolerable, currently -160 to get FABULOUS the timing.

Game had a major performance update and now runs MUCH smoother. I'm actually able to play it now and I still don't have 3 GB of RAM! :v

Also, there were recently a few songs added:
Spit / SHiNNOSUKE (ROOKiEZ is PUNK'd)
Solomon's Seal / Iris feat. LynH
IMPURE / callasoiled
conflict / siromaru + cranky because what mobile game DOESN'T have this song by now

conflict is unlocked by entering the code "ALPACABEAM". IMPURE has to be purchased with Music Chips, and Spit and Solomon's Seal need to be purchased with Diamonds.
