What songs do you want crossed over into DDR? I really want to see Remedy from IIDX and Rampage Rag (though I have the dread of this one having a very questionable chart)
Mana
Reaching For The Stars
chilblain
Metric
セロトニン
Megalara Garuda
>Reaching For The Stars
>chillblain

You have good taste my friend.
I'm hoping that Twinkle Star gets crossed over, we need more GITADORA songs in DDR.

I'm tired of people saying ad nauseum that So Deep and Kind Lady should be revived. I've haven't heard many say recently LTTS should, but the Sota remix would be nice to see again.

Real talk, I never really cared about Kind Lady, so I didn't get what the whole issue was when they removed it. LTTS was a good song though but I didn't even notice it got removed tbh.

So Deep was a banger that also came with a really fun chart.

I've been listening to DDR Mario Mix's soundtrack and it's been making me daydream of another Nintendo based DDR game. What are some songs you'd like to see, not necessarily Mario?

Jump Up Super Star is a must, but I'd also love to see Gerudo Valley.

Dance-able Nintendo tunes for DDR? I can't think of many that would work off the top of my head.

Double Cherry Pass from Mario 3D World

Break the Targets from Melee

Laser Phase from Kirby Planet Robobot

If there's any video game franchise that should cross over with DDR, it's Sonic. That series is a gold mine of music.

"Pancakes!"
DDR Mario Mix is the entry that got me into DDR completely.

If they ever pulled off a console release again, that's how they should do it. It's a fantastic way to begin learning the concepts. Sure, it won't necessarily appeal to the more dedicated fanbase but I think it'd be great to get people interested in playing more rather than just play the typical pop songs on the arcade and never give it another shot.

Amen, 100%. There are SO many good songs throughout the franchise that could work in a DDR game.

They could remix them like they did on Mario Mix. That way you could have different arrengements with different genres. While I do agree that Mario Mix could be considered an entry game, I think some charts of the game are too easy, maybe at the point where some Challenge charts could work simply as Expert charts (though I know there could be some exceptions like Rendezvous on Ice and Bowser's Castle). I still feel it's kind of weird how that game had 0 charts with Freeze Arrows

Has anyone ever wondered why good-cool just vanished from DDR? After they removed all of his songs in SuperNOVA, he has never appeared again in the series, not even on event songs

he probably wanted nothing to do with the series
probably caught wind his material was being used and wanted nothing to do with it
i find it sad but who am i to give him hell for it? it's still his material.

Back 2 Back by Hideki Naganuma (Sonic Rush's Water Palace) can be an awesome suggestion.

Holy shit, I completely forgot about Splatoon!

When I first heard this, all I could think of was a stepchart to go with it. The song practically writes itself for where the slowdowns, stops, and streams would be.

In general this series would fit in perfectly.

I just noticed that in DDR Extreme, PARANOiA MAX ~DIRTY MIX~'s preview clips uses one the Club Version instead of the DDR version. It's something small but I think I've never seen it being pointed out before

Is it possible that DDR is including in Play Station Mini? Probably DDR 3rd Mix. Shocked

there's exactly a 0.0% chance of any ddr game making it to this thing, especially one that only ever released in Japan and sold relatively dick-all

I know I've been on a hiatus for close to two months from here. I've been much more active on DeviantArt and Twitter, because how do you balance being on so many different forums, chats and social media sites? YOU DON'T.
I thought the 20th anniversary of DDR would be an appropriate time for me to make my (probably) long-awaited comeback, as I have a few things I want to say in regards to my happy memories with DDR and the 20th anniversary of the series.

Dance Dance Revolution might be older than I am, but it's still been in my life for 11 years and I don't know who or what I would have become now had it not been for DDR.
My first experience with Dance Dance Revolution was in elementary school, where it had been a part of our gym class curriculum. The gym teacher would bring in her PS2 with EXTREME, EXTREME 2 and SuperNova 2. The way we played it was a bit odd, though. As there were only two dance mats, students would take turns playing on them while the rest of the class copied the step patterns with duct-tape “t” symbols on the floor. We weren’t allowed to choose what song we wanted to play and we were forced to play on BEGINNER or BASIC difficulty, as well as call out the arrows as they came, but I still found DDR to be my favorite thing about gym class. And whenever I saw DDR at the local movie theater or an arcade, I couldn’t leave unless I got to play it at least once. Though I never owned a single one of the console versions, I still was able to play a lot - and improve.
And it was thanks to DDR that I found myself getting into BEMANI - and loving rhythm games - as a whole.
An especially fond memory I have of me and DDR is from 2014, when I found SuperNova 2 at a ranch my Girl Scout troop was staying at and had extreme feelings of nostalgia from seeing the game there, including an irresistible urge to play it. It was from that moment on, after I had played DDR a large amount of times there, that my interest in BEMANI began to rekindle - as I rediscovered Pop’n Music and fell into a BEMANI swamp, all thanks to having watched some DDR videos on YouTube.
And I’m glad to be in this swamp. I found myself when I found BEMANI. The community is one that accepts me for who I am and the first fandom I could really consider myself a member of. And I might have never even learned Japanese had it not been for BEMANI.
Though I never owned a console game -and I’m not even close to the best DDR player, only able to clear 13s - I still adore DDR and always try my best at it. It’s one of the only forms of exercise I like and can stick with (sports bore and don’t interest me, and running is very difficult for me).
I’d like to take a moment to thank DDR for the EXTREME (pun intended! 😜🥑) impact it's had on my life - it truly changed me for the better. And I see a bright future ahead for me and DDR.
I'm glad that DDR came into my life the way it did - me without DDR would be completely different.
Here's to a great future with DDR!
Ready, set, STEP!
Don't forget, I'm angel for yoooooooou(|[*'v'*]|)

Just found this thread, so I'm responding to a bunch of things.

I really wish X2 PS2 was a better game. The Dice Master Mode was pretty bad to be honest

X2 PS2 had a great-looking interface. But the songlist just seemed so... disorganized.
-Didn't follow the US convention of including the original versions of songs when their Challenge-only variants are included.
-Included the Oni remix of My Summer Love, but none of the other Oni remixes that we still haven't received yet.
-This happened after four years of not getting ANY Oni remixes. (Reminds me of the MEMORIES debacle)
-The Challenge-only songs weren't segregated to their own song wheel section like normal.
-L'amour et la liberte was revived, even though they still haven't given us its remix from SuperNOVA2.
-Seems like they revived every song they could find that started with "La". In addition to the language select screen that pops up every time you start the game, I think they were trying to broaden their audience here.
-After all this weirdness, the songlist still only has 60 songs instead of the typical ~70.

I'm replaying SN2 and some of these ratings are just lolzy

Uranus Challenge a 10 and Paranoia Hades Standard an 8, like wut Laughing Out Loud

I can do most old-school 10-footers, and I still can't beat PARANOiA Hades on Trick mode. Didn't this forum once have a thread for complaining about ratings? Anyway, while the 20-point rating scale has fixed most of the oddly-rated songs, there is one that really stands out to me.

Here is a short sampling of songs that are rated 12 on the new scale:
CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE ~SPEED MIX~
DEAD END
ORION.78 (AMeuro MIX)
TRIP MACHINE CLIMAX
MAKE IT BETTER

...one of these things is not like the others. MAKE IT BETTER is currently rated higher than PARANOiA (11) and TRIP MACHINE (10), the two boss songs from the mix it originated from.

Quote: AnonyWolf
i want to see some goddamn ultramix/universe revivals goddamn IT

Yeah, it's funny how the Xbox/360 DDR games have their own little ecosystem that Konami Japan mostly ignores. The DLC songs from DDR Ultramix 3 and 4 are now completely unattainable by legal means because they've never been revived and original Xbox Live is gone. Xbox DDR is so overlooked that DDR 2014 included Starmine with a totally different chart, as though its original DDR debut never even happened.

Quote: AnonyWolf
every time someone says kind lady or ltts should be revived, i want to jump off the nearest cliff
that is all

But they should though.

I feel like I'm maybe one of five random people on this planet that genuinely liked the idea of Dice Master Mode. Once you got all the pieces, at least, it was neat to customize the dice and move across the board, and at some point it was easy enough to control the movement. Its biggest flaws were the slow start and the mARVELOUS FULL COMBO MISSIONS WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS OKAY? Mad

And X2's song list... had a handful of really neat songs and more so why was all of this stuff revived when you could've at least... maybe grabbed songs from another console or *something* mentioned above.

I like that they tested out that circular blue/shining ring effect on the dancing characters at certain combos and then never did it again because it actually crossed the line of distracting. Maybe I'm the only person who wants cut ins back, but they didn't have to take away facial expressions in X2 AC, too. :c Or was it X3...? Or... A...? I feel like I would've remembered Zero's winking in his X2 AC outfit but I also barely got to play those games...

Did you all know that the "new" version of Dynamite Rave has officially been in the game longer than the original?

Isn't that upsetting aha.
