Your Bemani Leitmotif

Now, this would be easy for ⅓ of the frequent posters on this site who have a song as their username. But for those of us who don't: What song from the Bemani series would you consider to be a theme of yours? You can base this off of personality, personal experience, or whatever. You can choose more than one, and explanation is optional but would be nice.

To start- My theme would definitely be The Sampling Paradise, one of the first Beatmania and kors k songs I ever heard. It kinda reflects how my mind works- I've taken samples of ideas, concepts, and opinions, and altered them to create who I am. Alternatively, Luv Can Save U would also work- alone in the crowd, but definitely not unknown. I may be well-known around school for my kindness and logic, but I'm ultimately a bit of an awkward loner out of necessity. (Beatmania IIDX has not helped this one bit) Meanwhile, my brother's theme could possibly be Playing with Fire. He's quick to anger, quicker to start, and when he starts burning you don't want to be anywhere near him. (See, there was this one time when he threw a Wii remote at my forehead when we had company over...) Wuv U could also work, since it fits his other side- Quirky, with a hint of dank memery. If my brother has found this, I am not sorry.

Anyone else got one? You don't need to write an entire essay like I did- A few sentences works, if you want to write a description at all.

Mine would either be "Fly Through the Night" by Mr. T or "Second Heaven" by Ryu*.

FttN was one of the first songs I really fell in love with in IIDX and it was one that helped me get into picking up piano again which then blossomed into studying music/audio in college.

Second Heaven simply cemented Ryu* as my favorite artist because up until that point all I'd heard was Starmine, Abyss -Heavens-, and In the Sky (Which were all great) but once I played Second Heaven it just became a drug. Still lose my shit to it to this day. When he came and played at MegaCon last year and I got to be front row for the countdown and drop, best time I've had at a concert ever.

As for me I'd go with "Calamity Phoenix" by 96.

In my younger years I always was fascinated with the boss songs in DDR (and still am). Though Calamity Phoenix has never been on a DDR release, I came to discover it thanks to our good friend Pandemonium X (see PandemiXium II)! I also am a diehard metalhead, so an intense metal song on the right bpm being a very hard boss song fit like a hand in a glove, so much so that I have that song as my ringtone.

Hmmm...if mine weren't "0/1 Angel", it'd be Alt's other song, "Sanpo no Uta", because it was the song that made me really begin to start loving Pop'n Music, Alt, and then BEMANI as a whole (|[*'v'*]|) On top of that, it was the 1st BEMANI song I attempted to translate.

I think I have 2 different themes of mine when it comes to this. If it was classic then it would be Destiny and for modern times it would be Another Phase. So much music to describe my life!

There's so many songs that I love, I don't know how I can possibly pick one...

I mean there have been Bemani songs that have made me cry listening to them, so those would probably be a safe bet. I'm gonna go with Little Rock Overture (specifically the long version from wac's Ongaku album). It feels like...the credits theme to my life, the song that plays over a montage of my happiest moments. But I also would like to give credit to WOBBLE IMPACT, because that seems to fit my music taste and personality very well. I think it's my go-to default song for when there's nothing else around.

but basically at some point ive said "THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG EVER" about every bemani song

For me, it would be either South or EternuS (does anybody remember THAT song? It appeared in DDR SN CS, but only in the American version). Though the former song does fit me best, in my opinion.

I believe Eternus was from Supernova 2 American CS

But anyway my song that would fit my personality would be oarfish because it's just a calm and relaxing song.

I guess snow prism is a strong contender for me simply because I flippin' love snow.

Of course when I was still in school my theme song would have easily been DUE TOMORROW.

MAXX UNLIMITED, practically because DDRMAX2 was the first game I've played that sparked my interest for BEMANI and eventually other rhythm games.

MAXX UNLIMITED: My favorite Max song and represent my time when i was in school, trying to pass this song (and you guess it, the XX of my username is for this MAXX)

ICARUS: My first exclusive beatmania song i listen (yeah, earlier there was some IIDX songs in DDR but i didn't knew it). It represent my discovering thorught IIDX, and how awesome this game is.

neu: Just i love this song and how progress it. Also the lyrics are something i like to think: putting contrast between everything and nothing.

And my most recently representative song: TOXIC VIBRATION. I love rock/metal/whatever song derived from rock, and i fall in love with this one. Yeah, prior to this i enjoyed all the work of other artist in Guitarfreaks/GITADORA like 96/Izumi clasisc songs, but this one is beautiful (specially with the long version)

Murmur Twins is definitely mine. It's an absolute BLESSING to the ears and it has an innocent charm that I have never seen captured so perfectly in the entire BEMANI universe. It also reminds me of myself: Even though I'm a growing teen, I still feel like the same homeschooled kid I've always been. I'm always maturing, but still resonating an aura of my childhood days in front of the Genesis and the GameCube.

灼熱Beach Side Bunny would have to be mine. The song makes me think of summer and being at an awesome beach party, I love both the summer and going to the beach, and as a dancer, the song always makes me want to move. I will even make it one of signature Zumba routines once I become an instructor.

100% me.
