Yellow / livetune feat. Miku Hatsune
From the game Miku Hatsune: Project Diva 2 (and also the single "Kocchi Muite Baby / Yellow")

Stepped by Xythar (gmmazz@hotmail.com) for DDREvolved.com Hits of 2010

The background / banner illustration is by redjuice, and the video is by Lat (see the end of the video itself for full credits). I originally was using the official PV that came with the single and the Project Diva 2 OST, but it was really rather boring (didn't even have Miku in it!) and the game footage would have been a bit low res since it's on PSP and there's no Dreamy Theatre 2 yet (though it's on the way, apparently). So I used Lat's nice-looking MikuMikuDance video instead. The motion capture isn't quite as good as Project Diva itself (fair enough, given that it's fan made and all) but overall the resolution and visual quality is much better.

livetune is kz and kajyuki, although I think the latter left so "kz" and "livetune" are pretty much interchangeable at this point. I just like the sound of "livetune" better, I guess :P Anyway, it's a great song and I quite like my steps for it. They're mostly pretty straightforward except the verse on heavy, which has some intentional double stepping - it's a repeated sequence of three arrows (matching a particular repeated part of the vocals) that you need to start with the same foot each time. I start off by beginning it on left and right (so there's no ambiguity about which foot to begin on) in order to get the point across, then I move on to beginning it on up and down as well. If you've been paying attention, you'll infer that you're meant to begin each of those patterns with the same foot on up/down as well. If you haven't been paying attention, you'll probably complain about the steps. :P

Finally, a few words regarding the overall vision behind my Hits of 2010 entries - in this pack, since I haven't been paying much attention to pop music lately, I decided that I'd recap what 2010 meant for me in terms of stepfiling. So, I've included one stepfile representing each competition I entered this year - Yellow refers to Best-Mix 4 (same artist as Far Away, my DDR entry), Ochame Kinou refers to Cheesemix 6 (same artist as PoPiPo, my judged entry) and Get Out refers to Spookymix 2010 (same artist as Scream, one of my three Spookymix files). Well, technically four Spookymix files since I also did Ievan Polkka. Sorry.

As for Love or Lies, each End Of Year Bonus Pack so far I've alternated between Perfume and capsule (Perfume in '06, capsule in '07, then Perfume in '08 again) and since I missed out on the '09 pack, it's capsule's turn again. That is of course assuming I actually finish and submit the file, it's not quite done yet >_>

Hope you enjoy these files, and I'd also like to wish you all a merry (if somewhat belated) Christmas and a happy new year!
