Song info

From Beatmania IIDX RED (a.k.a. 11th style). One of the more memorable songs from it, considered "song of the style" by many. A lot harder than it looks to cut, I tried a few things and eventually gave up because it just wasn't working out at all :( Sorry about the length, it's the only aspect of this file I'd consider un-DDR-like. Can't be helped, I guess. I did try to put in a few sparse areas on all the charts so the player doesn't get too tired, as well as vary the patterns a bit.

Step info
---------

Beginner (1) - follows the rules. Rated 1 by Konami's standard because it's under 180 bpm or whatever, although it's a pretty hard 1 at that.

Light (3) - contains stuff fun for Light players, other than jumps which I left off doing this time. You can impress your friends with the stream in the middle!

Standard (6) - Shorter streams than heavy but a similar principle. Sometimes follows different elements in the music. Stepjumps 'cos stepjumps are fun.

Heavy (8) - Pretty much what you'd expect. Standard DDR streamy fast 8 with some technical stuff to boot. Try it on foot, the crossover stuff is fun :) Those early freezes aren't arbitrary, they kinda go to the vocals. The later ones, I suppose those are a bit more arbitrary. Does some neat experimental stuff near the end with following that backbeat sound. Pretty fun IMO but see for yourself!

Graphic info
------------

Background is taken from the Horizon G2ART available on the official IIDX RED webpage. I added the text to it. I was trying for a kind of ethereal, psychedelic effect similar to when you see a thin film of oil on top of a surface of water, to go with the background.

Banner is available in two flavours, video and still. Hopefully if your sim doesn't support the video it'll just use the still instead. I took part of the video and made some neat transparent text to match. It's a really neat effect with the video one flashing to the beat - if it goes off sync, just try moving the songwheel off this one and back again after a few seconds.

SM 4.0's implementation of video banners is broken and it plays them much too fast, so please don't play this on SM 4.0 :( I won't be responsible for any seizures you might suffer!
