==============================

Hi everyone,

I don't have a lot of time left so I'll make this quick.

If you've played Beatmania IIDX, you might remember the eurobeat cover of this song in 10th Style. (That's where I first heard of it, anyway). This is the original song it was based on, released by Noriyuki Makihara (a well known J-pop artist, apparently) waaay back in 1991. It's a lot slower (as you might expect), but quite nice to listen to.

I wanted to enter this as another "DDR ballad", similar to Remember You (and a few other songs), since I thought that might be nice to have and people don't enter enough easy songs in these things. Although it's faster than Remember You and has a bit more of a rhythm to it, I think it's still fairly similar in a number of ways. To this end, I decided to make heavy only 5 feet and go down from there.

I played a few of the classic DDR 5 foot songs, mostly Remember You (obviously), Think ya better D, Cutie Chaser (Morning Mix) but also BAD GIRLS, After The Game Of Love and Share My Love in preparation for making the heavy steps. My conclusion? Konami has no idea what a 5 foot song should be :) So I went by what felt like the best representation (the first three) and made a file fairly similar to Remember You but a bit harder, both in terms of BPM and stream length. But I would say it's still easier than Think ya better D or Cutie Chaser.

Standard is a controversial 3, and pretty much harder than any standard 3 in DDR I've seen. But it just feels too much easier than heavy to be a 4, so I left it like that. Again, it's kind of like Remember You, but harder.

Light is an easy enough 1. Not much to debate about it, I think.

As for the graphics... well, the train is basically just the first thing that popped into my head when I was thinking of what kind of image to use. I headed over to Deviantart and a quick search turned up this image by carlzon:

It was pretty much exactly what I was thinking of. :) I added the text in Photoshop and that was basically it.

The song cut runs a bit long, but I've noticed that tends to happen with slower songs. It doesn't feel that long when you actually play (also tends to happen with slower songs) and I couldn't have really made it shorter without mangling the standard intro -> verse -> chorus -> outro structure. Hopefully nobody will mind.

I would have liked to include a lyrics file with this, but I really don't have the time. Sorry :(

Well, I hope someone enjoys this, anyway (as opposed to everyone passing over it because it's 5 feet :P). It's probably blatantly obvious who this is, but you won't have as easy a time with my other stuff! :D

See you later!
