In the Cornerhouse centre. As with all Funstations, it's card-based, most of the games are ticket redemption, but there are some arcades in there. Videos are around the 4-5 credit range. No free Wi-Fi here or nearby so you'll have to use mobile data to scan game QR codes.StepManiaX cab doing most of the heavy lifting here, if it's a loc test and eventually disappears it's going to be so much more difficult to recommend this place tbh

6 months agoStaticFishTested my foot out today and can confirm the SMX still works well, but is as slippy as ever.
8 months agoStaticFishI nipped into funstation and the card readers are now working.
I can't test the state of the machine due to a foot injury, so leaving as not working until someone can investigate.
9 months agoOliverExistsIf this machine is down, Nottingham bowl is always an alternative, and it’s even cheaper than funstation.
1 year agoStaticFishNice dude that's awesome! Yeah I meant to say it still seems in great condition but I didn't think 1 credit was enough for a conclusive evaluation.
1 year agoOni-91I was able to hit a 96 on Monolith Hard on Sunday (and usually I don't hit anything higher than a 92 on most things), so 2P is playing very nicely at least.
1 year agoStaticFishHad a quick Hard credit on SMX P2. Still very sensitive but dusty/slippy. Speakers do have intermittent buzzing / crackling (left speaker)

1 year agoStaticFishPads still in excellent condition, imo. My partner re-asked the manager about the DLC and they said they would contact head office and get back to us. (So hopefully we have them soon)

I had a session today with some faster streams and I seemed to be getting pad misses on P2 Right. Could be my play style.
If anyone notices anything let me know.

Im not sure if this is my imagination or lazy stepping but i have been getting the odd pad miss on the P1 Left arrow.
Adding as a comment instead of status on the machine as im not sure if its just my bad play or not.
3 years agoStaticFishOne of the staff came up to me and stated that they are thinking about having some kind of score based competition on the Stepmaniax. I'm not sure when or how it will be run but possible prizes are £10 credit. He did say that you tell a member of staff your score or something so not sure how that will go., if they have it.
I also asked wether the StepmaniaX was going to permanent and he thought it would be as it was doing well.
3 years agoStaticFishDon't know what it is about this StepmaniaX but it feels a lot slipper than other StepmaniaX which is probably fine for most players but being no bar and flaily its not the best. Just an FYI for no bar players
3 years agoStaticFishThats really cool that the StepmaniaX has been changed to 2 songs instead of 1. Always felt cheated paying for 1 song.
3 years agoStaticFishVery cool to play the Stepmania in the UK. It's awesome. The price of 1 song for £1.25 is not so awesome.
