Stepmania X machine is fucked. Player 2 right arrow looks like its covered in talc powder and barely works, other panels feel like an old euromix machine and are not very responsive. 1p is unplayable. £1 per song LOL. DDR X2 cab is also unusable. 4 years agotedward618

If you’re coming for the DDR X2 machine. Don’t bother. I’ve been recently and tried the machine and It was a massive disappointment. It cost £1 just for 1 song in free mode which is ridiculous.

The P1’s Right Arrow and P2’s Left Arrow sensors don’t work properly and they constantly ghost step and change the speed of the song while you’re playing. When I told a member of staff about the problem they were rude and dismissive of me. Fortunately my Dad was able to get the machine operator to give me 2 more goes but like I said before, the machine is unplayable.

I would recommend going to the Central Pier If you want to play DDR X2. It’s in better condition and is responsibly priced. 5 years agotedward618

Great to hear some maintainence went on with that other Extreme, are the pads good currently? It was also drowning out all the other games in that arcade so I hope they turned it down a bit. Ah right, well i live only a few towns away from the pleasure beach and went about a month or so ago and from what i recall the LCD conversion was still in it's normal arcade (obviously moved now) and the one with the CRT has been fixed and the CRT has full colour again (with a slight tint of red). There were def 3 cabs in PB, we didn't see the 3rd one last time in there either, which was a few months before that. Yeah, the conversion is the one in Beach Amusements now and played really well. Was a good warm up before going to play the Pump in S. Pier LOL 5 years agotedward618

I think the good Extreme (the one with the EM1 marquee and LCD conversion) has been moved to the arcade at the front of Pleasure Beach, the one that you actually can go in without paying to enter the park. They have another Extreme over in the arcade with that massive Ridge Racer machine, but the pads weren't good and the CRT was missing a colour when I last played it. I'm going to be in Blackpool again at the end of October, so I will give proper updates on how the cabs are then. 5 years agolewlew2003

Not surprised I guess though My hope, is that being DDR A has poped up in places no one would have thought it would, that it'll pop up somewhere randomly and surprisingly...my fingers are still crossed! But yeah, the Prime 2 is super at least! pleasure Beach's Beach Amusements has one of their Extreme's moved to it now, and is in really good condition..not an A, but better than the rest of the DDR's in Blackpool at least 5 years agotedward618

agree with summary of DDR games. Not fit for purpose. Right one, whole dance platform was wobbly and loose, 2 times in a row months apart
