Used to have a functioning DDR X about 12 years ago. After years of neglect from whomever was supposed to maintain the machine, it is finally gone for good. There are arcade games here, but since none of them are rhythm games, I can't be bothered to go visit and list them here.

Log in to add your own comments!Yep, machine is completely gone now. Not a single rhythm game at this location. Expected as much, still sad to see because I have memories of some good times when I used to play here on weekends a good decade+ ago. Whatevs.
I have to make a trip to the area today, I think I'll finally stop by after 6 years and see whether the machine still exists and is in a playable state. Not holding my breath.

Machine returned, but in poor condition. Was removed for repairs; new update within the month.
I have to wonder how they even managed to make a sale on it given all of the critical issues with the U.S. X cabinets
DDR X is gone. No other dance/music games are located here. A pity.
Just an update since I know zeio hasn't been to the X machine in a while. Of course, it's still garbage. The 2P side's left arrow is always stuck and the volume is still really low. Like, they're not even making money off of this anymore.
Machine seems to have been worked on but now the volume is so low, I couldn't hear it over my 5 year old daughter while she was asking me something. I've never in my life heard a DDR machine with volume set so low. 2P side seems okay to play on again but the left arrow was giving a few pad misses.
Again, finding it remarkably difficult to be surprised.
Checked up on the machine today -_- The pads have been fixed, as far as the missing screws being replaced now. But the pad sensors are still the same. The poor sensors and lag of DDR X in general reduced me to getting 93s and 94s on most songs I played today. This was on the 2P side. The 1P side on the left is still exactly the same condition sensor-wise. It starts out very good and then the Up arrow starts to stick and you will basically fail your song because of this. Not worth coming to this location or trying to get staff to fix it up. Other than this, the whole unsupervised children issue still remains. There were 4 girls there who threw their sandals onto the pads and went barefoot...so that they can play "baseball" in front of the machine with one of the sandals. Utterly ridiculous. Staff does nothing about occurrences like this and never have.
Yeah it's pretty sad. I've tried talking to the manager(s) and arcade operator and tried being active about helping them get the machine fixed and all but they don't seem to care. Whatever, it's their money...not mine.
I'm trying to be surprised, but I really can't.
Machine is still crappy as hell, the arrows actually recess when stepped on, at least on the 2P side. The screws are missing.
Went last night...the 2P side works, I was able to AA a bunch of Expert songs. The only thing is that someone removed a whole bunch of screws from the pad so when you step on an arrow, the panel pushes in and away from the bracket
Well the bowling alley seems nice enough and they get a hell of a lot more customers than Island Strikz...so I figured they had some money and as much as they saw me and others playing the DDR X, you'd think they would want to please the players/customers. I spoke with several people but of course, as we can see, nothing has been improved.
I don't why you'd bother asking them to get a new machine. It's like asking some idiot to buy a brand new Bentley when you know they don't take care of their Honda.
I passed out flyers and tried getting management to consider buying/leasing a DDR X2 machine but they never took the offer seriously I suppose. Instead, they opted for some motorcycle game that nobody EVER plays. Sad because the pads used to work well for months...then one day they just went to ****. Other thing that sucks is the amount of high schoolers that come in on any given night, mainly weekends. They are insanely loud and generally just stand around crowding the arcade and acting macho on the punching bag game in the corner.
