The screws on the back of the pad holding the stage plate don't matter as much as the bolts on the stage legs, unless they're like on the verge of falling off. This can also be problematic with the screws that hold the plate keeping both pads attached together. Not really much to do with build quality imo; this isn't much of an issue for any other of the 5 white cabs I've played on. They probably just weren't properly tightened/leveled during inital setup. I've talked to someone who regulars Roseville and is also a top level player. He agreed that the stage leg bolts loosen up too much/too easily, causing the pads to rumble when played on in that state. I assume management isn't really going to do anything about it, lol. The screws on the back of the pad are constantly coming loose, but they have to know about it by now. I blame the build quality, personally. The factory should have included Loctite or something. The left forward foot seems loose now though, although I forgot to point it out before I left last Saturday. 7 years agoPharmA.OH
I went again last Friday and I'll have to say, (can't speak for P1 side because I didn't test/play on it) not sure if the workers really did look into it or not, but the P2 side felt great. No noticeable rumbling this time; felt like I was playing back in Orange. Ended up getting a LOT of new personal bests. 'Twas a great session. 7 years agoccfreak2k
I did notice that the rear outer uh "foot" is too far up, so the 1P pad does wobble a bit. P2 pad seems fine; the pad itself flexes, but I'm not really sure if that's something that can be fixed. The screws on the back are still coming out too. They need to use some loc-tite. 7 years agoPharmA.OH
Yeah, I noticed that too. I tried a few as much as I could with my hands but regular play will probably loosen them up again unless it's done with an actual screwdriver. Lol, I was a regular at Dave and Buster's Orange but I'm up here for school. If you've ever seen Dr.D's pad maintenance series, you'll know what I'm talking about. When you step on the non-arrow panels and it vibrates a lot, it means the lug nuts/stage legs corresponding to the corner you stepped on are loose/not leveled. I've never really experienced having to level the pads but before I manually tightened down some of the lug nuts on the stage legs, it was pretty rumble-y to play on, especially P2 side. I noticed a screw on the back of the pad coming loose, which one of the techs hand-tightened when I pointed it out, but I didn't notice any wobbling of the pads (except for what I'd expect since they don't anchor the pads to the machine anymore). The techs are probably more inclined to act if you're a regular, or perhaps if you post about it on the daveandbusters subreddit. Either way, I'll see if I can't let them know as well. 7 years agoPharmA.OH
About the DDR A pads, the stage legs are not adjusted properly so the pad rumbles/vibrates quite a bit when loose. The lug nuts get loose enough to the point where you can tighten with just your hands; If you tighten them with just your hand though, they loosen up after just 1 set. I asked a worker about it but he literally gave me shit for asking if they had a wrench, telling me that the lug nuts are "tighten as far as they can go." He said he'd put in a word regarding it but I highly doubt he will. 12 years agoteranoid-K
