though i don't live in europe, Konami has made a ripple effect. by delaying this game, all the next games will be released later along with songs they didn't get. the US CS has a ripple affect but with songs only. japan has no ripple effect and that makes me furious. konami seriously needs to realize that we deserve as much as what Japan gets. i mean, why not release a DDR where the songlist is the same and is released on the same day in all regions (with the exception of licenses) so that there is nothing to boast or argue over. if it would mean having to wait another 4-6 months, i think it'd be worth it

Konami's HQ resides in Japan. Bemani games and arcades are much more popular there. Arcades in the NA/EU are going down the drain. So no, we deserve what we get. They'd make a bigger profit selling the most up-to-date stuff there. Their profit margin would also rise here regardless if the NA/EU versions fall short of the JP versions since it's what we get. So no, Konami doesn't have the obligation to match the quality of the NA/EU versions with their Japanese counter-parts. It might not be fair but it's smart marketing.Post #563 · Posted at 2008-11-06 10:59:04am 15.4 years ago

besides people who REALLY want the songs just import the game i'd like to, but the problem for me is 1.my PS2 can't play import games 2.my PS2 is my sisters 3.expensive 4.it's be harder to unlock songs cause I can't read japanese (unless i somehow found a PS2 save for the game on the net)
but back on topic, i think Europe's release should of at least matched what we got.

If you mean the forth mode in this video. I tried to make out the words symbol and then use google translator to translate...
The result is quite interesting...

Sound like HP to me but how does it work in PS2 I have no clues... may be the particular video shown above is just a private testing prior to public release...

That's what I was about to say.
DS SN2 might be the one of the biggest crimes to humanity since the Holocaust, Slavery, 9/11 and the various genocides in history but for some reason...
...I can't stop listening to Cara Mia. ._.
I've always felt that Dancing Stage has always had some awesome licenses. This insult KOE put into DS SN2 in exchange for chopping the game in half and waiting an extra year to sell is no different in my opinion.
It's too catchy.

My opinion's in my sig. My reasons are clear:
1) WORST ANTI-CLIMATIC FADEOUT EVER.
2) Who the hell decided an accordion was a good instrument!?

It's quite catchy from what i've heard of it (haven't listened to the full one yet).
Is this game still available for purchase?

The game is still available in the UK via online retailers. It's a bit rare in stores itself though.

I've looked into some online retailers on the internet (via google), and they say the same thing:
previous price: $27.00 (or so)
now: $0.00 you save $28.00!!!
In other words, they've sold out for no reason whatsoever. even game.co.uk says it's sold out.
I'm not planning on buying this tho, but it will be a novelty/collector's item seeing that weeks after it's release, it's already rare.

It's alost the same thing to DDR SuperNOVA 2 in the US but Konami just added 1 music and that is new in licenses by the artist of Mans Zelmerlow. I can't even believe in that. It's really much worse for my part to buy this game. I'd better wait for a Japanese DDR game for PS2.

Wait a minute, no matter how many times I've listened to Cara Mia, I still haven't heard an accordion in that song. Maybe I'm deaf or something.

Also, the ending suggests it's going to go somewhere, and just when it's about to...the song fades out. Ironically, this is what Konami's all about when it comes to CS releases.
Actually, when HVAM does that at the end, it scared me a bit the first few times. I thought, "Crap, this is just a short break and it's about to take off again."Post #578 · Posted at 2008-11-07 05:02:55am 15.4 years ago

I thought that ending for HV:AM was a bit wrong. It should have kept the flat-lining noise straight to the end since I doubt your heart-rate will return to normal after that run.

i'm starting to loose interest in DDR US CS's now cause each one there is always a disappointment. i'm starting to think just buying JP CS's would be more worth the money as they always seem to have something I want Post #580 · Posted at 2008-11-08 07:24:48am 15.4 years ago

Corrected for Europeans. I've been on holiday.
Arcade at EuroDisney had a Fusion AC one day I went in and a SuperNOVA the next time. It's almost like the arcade owner heard me saying how a SuperNOVA would be awesome and rushed one in to ensure my time there was truly 'magical'.
Shame the pads on both were awful and the lifebar dropped rapidly at any misstep. Went on a EuroMIX2 on the way back while we were on a ferry. Pads were great and even with the rocking of the ferry I managed to do much better on it than either of the two machines at Disney. The kid who whispered to his mate about how he betted I'd be rubbish soon lost control of his lower jaw when I got going on D2R.
How did we go from the awesomeness of EuroMIX2 to the nothingness of SuperNOVA 2 AC?
Another question: what were Konami smoking when they made Dancing Stage Max awesome but Dancing Stage SuperNOVA 2 beyond late and lacklustre? Seriously?
I'm tempted to pick the game up for collectors sake but I'm really in two minds whether to pay Konami my hard earned cash for a late and crappy game.
