really the only JP CS original song that caught my attention was SAGA
You must think it's the only original if you're so crazy about it.

But of course, the Broadjam winners are licenses and the new JP songs are KO's.

Also, wasn't Polovtsian Dances And Chorus promoting some game called Oz?

Yeah, and You're Not Here and Your Rain (Rage Mix) were promoting Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4, respectively. Baby's Tears (Sky Girls Opening Theme) was promoting Sky Girls, Trust is promoting Tengen Toppa Gurran Langen. Basically: Konami likes to promote its own crap in bemani, but that has never really stopped them from keeping the songs long after their respective games/animes have passed their peak. I really see no reason why TimeHollow would be exempt from the next AC release.

I remember reading an interview right after last year's broadjam winners were announced, and the the guy who made EternuS mentioned something about it being prepared for an arcade machine. I can't find the interview anymore though =/.

While we're on the subject of Broadjam, I do not like either of the winning songs. They're too 'generic', while the ones that they've been picking for the last two years were actually good. In particular, I only think 30 Lives won because of the cringeworthy Konami Code intro.

If so many songs have been created, it's not exactly easy to be original, is it? ;) Besides, DM Ashura's work is the epitome of generic.

I like 'Till the Lonely is gone. Sounds really nice I think. Although i doubt thecut will turn out that good.
30 lives is ok, sorta reminds me of Why Not. That can only be good though. And I'm guessing the Konami code at the beginning will probably get cut anyways XD

Still, his overall theme is to copy the essence of other songs. I don't see Sanxion7 or Beatdrop doing that.

Anyway, a great idea came to me. People have complained how the songs don't have background images anymore, right? Maybe they could show the picture and then fade into the character dancing in an arena. This "arena" would have the background displayed on walls with screens displaying the name of the song and messages like "You're good" and "Keep going".

I think it should look at least more realistic than what they have now.

Something that is really sloppy i think is how some songs have videos (and only songs from Extreme 2/Str!ke) while others don't. It should either be all or none.

All I can say about the song backgrounds dissapearing...

And then, for some of the videos, they're out of sync with the song! That's surely gotta be fixed!

I noticed Max 300 SMMM starts before it does on Str!ke, but I've seen everything else use a black screen where the background would be.

Are SN2 american version, and Festival (or what ever it is before SN2)'s Outer Limits stepcharts different? I dunno if they are.

SN2 US does, indeed, use the Festival steps for Outer Limits. Although, I prefer the Ultramix steps...

Me too. The Ultramix steps at least try to follow the odd rhythm, but Festival uses generic eighth streams. Something Wonderful, Gorgeous 2012, Meaning of Life, etc. all received this treatment.

Alright, I know my user rating is probably gonna go down and I might get warned after this (I think hinatahakuddr got in trouble for stuff like this) but I'm gonna give it a try. After all, it fits in this category...

Dance Dance Revolution BlackHOLE

The game has an overal indigo and black interface. The songwheel screen has a abstract swirling blackhole in the background. The difficulty rating has been extended to include 11 and 12 difficulty. As a result, the game contains many more 10's than previous mixes, now has several 11's and even a few 12's. Therefore it has by far the highest overall difficulty of any DDR mix so far, and sets the way for DDR being harder in the future.

Old 10's that have been rerated to higher levels

11:
PARANOiA Survivor MAX (Expert)
NGO (Challenge)
Trim (Expert)
MAX 300 (Super Max Me Mix) (Challenge)
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ (Expert)
CHAOS (Challenge)
DEAD END (GROOVE RADAR special)
Pluto Relinquish (Expert)
MAX. (period) (Expert)

12:
PARANOiA Survivor MAX (Challenge)
Healing-D-Vision (Challenge)
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ (Challenge)
Fascination MAXX (Expert)
Fascination MAXX (Challenge)
PARANOiA (HADES) (Challenge)
Pluto Relinquish (Challenge)
MAX. (period) (Challenge)
