"Fast 'n Bulbous!" |

Drop The Bomb and END OF THE CENTURY are ridiculously conspirational sounding songs about... Droping bombs and the end of the world and crap.
END OF THE CENTURY is about Y2K. It seems crazy at first, but here are the last lines of the song:
Quote: Lyrics from RemyWiki
Some just say the world is changing
Many people will agree
Many changes we are seeing
I just say...
It's the end...
It's the end...
It's the end of the century
Many people will agree
Many changes we are seeing
I just say...
It's the end...
It's the end...
It's the end of the century
Drop The Bomb also doesn't seem that threatening:
Quote: Lyrics from RemyWiki
Don't get me wrong, I'm a pacifist
The mind can do more than the fist
Explosives are NOT what it takes, you know
The terrorists always make these mistakes
The mind can do more than the fist
Explosives are NOT what it takes, you know
The terrorists always make these mistakes

Now that's the spirit of this thread.
All EVOLVED songs represent cities that have gone through disasters and have "EVOLVED" past them, most notably Tohoku EVOLVED, which says PRAY FOR ALL instead of the normal CLEARED message when finishing the song. The announcer doesn't say anything but combos either, as a sort of reverence...

I thought London EVOLVED was about the London Riots. Or am I just crazy?
Don't answer that, I'm pretty sure I'm just crazy.

Must have remembered wrong. I thought I read somewhere about all of them having had some sort of disaster, Tohoku being most recent. Foggy memory I guess.

She is my wife and SA.YO.NA.RA. SUPER STAR
These two are possibly the most notable entries by Tag which is kinda sad considering these are joke songs. Both have annoyingly catchy beats and both have their own infamous claims to fame. She is my wife is probably the first song many fans have first heard in terms of Mitsuru songs and SA.YO.NA.RA. has the infamous taka face. There is also the laughable dance choreography and cameos in both. Despite both of these maybe not aging as well as stand-alone songs, the legacy behind both of these songs are pretty high up in terms of lore's concerned.
oh and She is my wife appearing in DDR certainly didn't help that song at all.

I doubt that 150-year old store in Croydon was what they had in mind when they made version C sound so...happy.Don't answer that, I'm pretty sure I'm just crazy.

You probably already know this, but all of the characters for the pop'n 8 song "Miracle 4" (WORLD TOUR) gained songs of their own between pop'n 9 and pop'n 14, each with a genre that starts with CYBER, and each has a country or region they represent.
FORCE (USA) - Dynamic! Atomic! S.C.B.G. ~ver.1~ (CYBER ROCKABILLY)
2st (Arabian peninsula) - Arrabbiata (CYBER ARABIAN)
WAKA-san (Japan) - Vairocana (CYBER GAGAKU)
UNO (Spain) - hora de verdad (CYBER FLAMENCO)
After FORCE's song was removed in pop'n 12 thanks to the Atsushi Shindo plagiarism controversy, FORCE was eventually reassigned the song "PITAゴラス☆KISS" (CYBER WESTERN) from pop'n 17.
The sequel song "Magical 4" (WORLD TOUR 2) from pop'n 16 also has four characters, three of whom also have their own songs and countries.
Quattro (Brazil) - SAMBA de ASPEL (PASSIONATE SAMBA)
SAN (China) - 変幻自在 (CHINA PROGRESSIVE)
Anne (France) - Les Vague (EUROPEAN BREAKCORE)
The fourth girl (Africa) has not yet received a song.

According to the character bio in pop'n portable 2, the Miracle/Magical 4 characters have their nation's flags in the icon.
The top right one is supposed to represent 2st. Although the flag has the same colours as the Afghan and Libyan flag (since 2011), it's not quite right. Methinks the staff didn't know which country to pick there that wouldn't touch a nerve, so just made their own one up.
I don't have the picture but I seem to recall Nbiri (the African girl) having the flag of Ghana.

N.Y EVOLVED = 9/11 Attacks
L.A EVOLVED = All of the devastating earthquakes the city has endured
Osaka EVOLVED = ?
Roppongi EVOLVED = ?
Tokyo EVOLVED = ?
Any one care to fill in the blanks for Osaka, Roppongi and Tokyo?

I don't think Osaka, Roppongi, and Tokyo have any relations to disasters. Osaka, in particular, relates to Naoki's hometown.

La Señorita is a song about a man checking out a "señorita".
"When she leaves you want to follow her anywhere"
La Señorita Virtual's background and jacket has a computer with a picture of the señorita in question, and the lyrics and music become more gritty and dark sounding.
Could both these songs be depicting a stalker?

And, if it was based on this, they'd have done Kobe Evolved already.

Strictly Business was supposedly removed from the game because Mantronik heard his song being used in an arcade and openly expressed his disdain that his song was being used without his knowledge. The truthfulness of this is somewhat debatable since the song was used under a Dancemania license.
To make that above story more believable however, Me & My had no problem with Dub-I-Dub being used but were surprised So Many Men was being used without their knowledge. Konami removed the latter song shortly after this was known, likely out of respect.
