Meaning behind your name?

I used to be a huge brony. I'm not anymore. My username everywhere else now is either BemaniHyper or BemaniEX. Simple as that.

I hate this name. I don't want it anymore.

My reason is the same as brunobg24's sans the number. Take the first 8 characters of my full name and voila, username.

I tend to use this where ever I can because it sounds so simple, albeit a bit generic. Plus, I can't think of a good one.

Well, I guess I've thought about kurohana. See, it's my birthdate in Japanese: (ku)(roku)/(hachi)/(nana), and it has a meaning (black flower) so I guess it's kinda neat, but I've only used it once: as my Taiko AC screen name because it only allows 5 hiraganas.

Originally when I started out on the internet in general I didn't know what to call myself, and then this came to my mind. While it may be from Johnny Test,( A show I no longer like and haven't liked for a long time.) I still kinda like the name, it just has a nice vibe for me, and that's why I went with this name.

My first username was GamerGodIII, when I found the TechTV message boards. I think I was 10 or 11. Was still learning to think.

Eventually I made the smart decision and decided a new name was probably in my best interests. I really just started trying to think of things that sounded cool to me. "R-type" was the one thing that I thought was cool. I pitched the idea to a friend and he said something like "It sounds like 'R-tight', like you're trying to say 'I'm tight' "

I told him he was wrong and that I wasn't bothered by his mockery, then immediately opted to change it to 'G-type'. Because eleven.

Never changed it, stayed with me through many different forums (including DDRFreak). Found out later that it's actually a video game. Started telling people that was why. (I've never played it)

It's really just stuck. For thirteen years. It kinda feels wrong to change it now.

CLOUDIO, a pretty random name from "Cloud" and "Audio" just because I've been pretty fanatic on clouds and musics.

Here's how I got my username:
Once upon a time, I was trying to come up with a pseudonym for a gaming channel on YouTube. Dark sounded like my first name, Derek, and it sounded neat. I also wanted the initials to be DK; my real initials are DC, but I thought k's looked kool, and c's were lame. At first, I came up with Dark Knight, and I used that as my penname for a while. But I didn't want people to think I was related to the Batman franchise, so I changed it to Dark Kanine. I picked Canine because I ♡ dogs, and I changed Canine to Kanine because again, k's are kool. But when I made a new gaming channel, I morphed the two words together to get darKanineGaming. I decided to use the username on this site, but I made it all lowercase because I guess it looked better.

tl;dr: My username is a combination of the two words, Dark Kanine. Dark came from my first name, Derek, and Kanine, because I love dogs.

Mew is/was my favorite pokemon when I was younger, so on online communities I would try to go by Mew151 whenever I could get away with it. Unfortunately, it wasn't that original of a name so it'd often be taken. Way back when I was a member on Gaia Online, I had a username that was based on my name and initials. My cousin was on there and went by "Lord Pett". I thought that name was cool and decided to one-up him and become a King. Mew.

You may spot me on some other sites (mainly IRC networks) under the name of rosencrantz, which many people love to respond with a "Where's Guildenstern?!". Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are both characters from Hamlet, made popular in the absurdist play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

B.M Hedgehog is the name. So let me break it down for y'all. The "B" and the "M" both represent my first initial of my first and middle name IRL. The Hedgehog part of my love of being a Sonic The Hedgehog fan and no I'm not one of those Bitchy McAbitchypants type fanboys. At one point someone called me Butt Monkeys out of slander, because some people thought I was an asshole (and no it wasn't any one here on Z-i-V thank god). I adopted the Black Mage persona when I was on the Captain N forums when someone had thought that BM meant Black Mage and since one of the other users made a super cool drawing of a Black Mage Hedgehog, I'd figured what the hell and ran with this idea/persona.

_inaba_ came from the first three letters from my name (rearranged) and because I like "Touhou". Specifically, the characters "Reisen Udongein Inaba" along with "Tewi Inaba" were the first characters i've seen.

The meaning of my name is pretty obvious i'm a fan of Bemani it's as simple as that the numbers were just a random set of numbers that came to me when making my username up

I thought up of XeneSyS as a "cooler sounding" version of (SEGA) Genesis, as "real words" are too common in usernames, IMO. '87 is my birth year. SyS could also be short for (Master) SyStem.

I started with the name "Kon" only. It was a play on the word "con" as in "pro and con" meaning "bad". So essentially I was a bad player. A few years later I went to Gameworks and really filled up the SuperNOVA machine with my name. A player who I never met before went up to the machine and after one of his songs he said "OH MY GOD KON HAS ALL OF THE HIGH SCORES!!!". And that is how I became "OMG KON!"

My username comes from when I was something like 11 or 12 years old... I honestly don't remember it was a long time ago now.
Anyways, it all started when I was making an email and needed an account name. Since I liked the color black back then, I decided on Dark, and then storm came about because I thought it paired up nicely with Dark, leaving me with Darkstorm. However, I thought that sounded like a name a lot of people would have, so I added in a 0 as a filler space, and then used 91 because I was born in 1991, leaving Darkstorm091.

These days I go about the internet and online games as Azaliate though, mostly because I started to think that my username sounds like something a kid or teenager would have. That one came about as a modified form of Azure, since blue is my favorite color. I fused the word with -ate, a slight modification of the common -ite ending for stones I picked due to my interest in volcanoes, and other natural phenomenons, and then messed around with it until I was happy with the results, creating Azaliate.

My username comes from DDR SuperNOVA. I chose the name because the first time I got new machine records on a DS SuperNOVA from SM Mall of Asia years ago. Since then, I have been using this name from O2Jam, FFR, ThirdStyle, and other music games (even some non-music games). Sometimes I add a "ph" at the end to have distinction between me and an actual DJ Supernova.

But way before DDR SuperNOVA came out, I was known as SolarStorm on online games that existed here in the Philippines such as FreeStyle Online and Ragnarok.
