Yes, Is one of the main screens, but it has a lot of codes to implement I'll be making more progress soon.

I've been seeing it, but I didn't know if that song wheels could be possible, those aren't curve, like some ultramix versions, I was thinking to make a Dance Wars reusing my DDRX theme or a DDR Universe3, but I don't know.

I think it could be included, first I want to cover the main basic arcade screens. And later complete the theme with online play, profiles, character selections, etc.

Looks like Extreme just curved.

Next to the bpm thing with the scrolling bar, Sometimes i see it outside of the area.
Only happens on Fullscreen. Not Windowed. I know its not finished but pointing it out.

And weird error texts in course and the song titles are off.

About the theme I was thinking of this song selection of Extreme US:


And the square-esque song selector of some Ultramix titles:


Maybe I could make it, That theme is more like the MAX/Extreme era themes, maybe I could use the 5th mix theme as base. Also I have to get the PS2 iso to dump the graphics and some resources.

About the scrollbar position is still not adjusted. Sorry. I only was testing to show it.
And the courses windows has bugs, cause I haven't worked on that too. The Takuya's version of that screen is the same of the music selection. I'll have to work on that screen soon.

I've aligned the timer on all the windows, and adjusted some screen times.


For the Music selection:
I've removed the bounce of the new song indicator and changed the songs font.

Changed the song color font to white, and changed the roulete and random strings to uppercase:

Long time without activity, I've been busy with my work and other things, but there are two important updates:

First, I've added the special ending screen and Behavior (AA for the final result) and in Second instance, the Cd's of the boss songs only appear on final or extra stages:



That's all for the moment, but I've learned a lot of things that I will to implement in the theme construction. Thanks for your attention.

a couple years back when stepmania 3.9 was popular there was a theme that looked like DDR EXtreme USA i forgot what it was called though

Some little news:

I've cleaned the code a bit, and get back the difficulty list and song list in selec music and course screens. Also I've added the current stage indicator to select music screen, and realigned some items:




Are still a pair of missing thing that I need to check, but the theme is almost playable at this point. I'll come with more news later. I haven't enough time to all my things. But the theme port is still active ;) Thanks for watching!

Last update: Added sort title graphics to the select music/course still need to remove some sorts and assign some graphics, but is functional

While DDR X isn't my favourite game visually (I don't care so much for the attempt at an "urban" look), also I find the announcer to be the worst in the series, this is impressive stuff, and I'm oddly excited by your progress.

Also when you said you were new to theming a few pages back... lies, lies and slander.

To be fair, MadkaT stated that s/he was new to theming 2.4 months ago, and it is entirely reasonable to learn a lot of theming in 2.4 months' time.

Yes, graphically is not very attractive. But is a nice system, has a good amount of features compared to other themes.

I think that is because some of the lines are too long, but I'm porting to SM, and trying to create a Lite alternative version, to remove the long lines and be less anoying.

Thanks, this theme has a lot of features that other DDR games doesn't have, is the bridge for the old and the new DDR games. I'm still a noob in SM theming most of the codes are rewritten from other existing themes, the amount of code that I've written is minimum. I'm a developer and I use various coding languages, that give me a little advantage to learn the LUA coding, compared to a non-developer user. But really is my first theme

Yes, I can't use a lot of time to the SM theming study, but I've learned a lot of things, also the github repository works like a tutorial/remember notes for me when I forget some things

Thanks, I'll check that, parallel to this theme, I'm working on a secret acclaimed theme it has a good progress, because most of the themes are more easy/simply than the DDRX theme. At this point I'm trying to do the most from my own skills, obviously I'll get stuck in some point, but well. I'll ask for help when that moment comes.

I've fixed a bit the results screen, aligned the banner, changed font colors, and starting to assign the fonts for the numbers

Do you intend to release the theme in English? I mean, I assume so, but this looks good and I might end up using it so just making sure.

Yes, I'm using the japanese pictures, but like the takuya's theme I will have an english patch for the graphics I'll think to update the other languages for the texts when it's finished. But in graphics only will be in japanese and english, like the original versions.

Network status added to the system layer, when online it should change to cyan, I haven't tested because I don't play online but it should work
