they should since they're the same thing i believe.
The only reason I'm a little leery about it is because they don't/didn't work with actual eAmuse so I don't know if Konami has plans to somehow integrate the PW cards.
The cards will work, but you obviously won't have any of the same scores.

I feel apprehensive about the Global eAmuse service stiffing Europe. It sounds like the kind of thing Konami do.

Because that's exactly what they're doing.

Got a chance to play on PWorld for the last time yesterday together with some of my british friends. It's so sad to see something as wonderful as ProgrammedWorld go, and I'm kind of afraid that this will have an effect on local communities as well, especially for those people (like me) who don't want to expend the same amount of time/money on travelling to their "nearest" arcade only to play a style that's 4+ years old and which is missing not only online connectivity but so many other functions as well.
I really, really hope the Konami announcement means what many think it means – I'm sure there's more than enough people who play at their local arcade and wouldn't mind paying part of a monthly subscription fee to Konami for licensing or whatever, as long as it's not ridiculously huge. I guess for now all we can do is wait and see.

First step was for them even considering the service for a global scale, I think asking for a new DDR CS version is probably going to take a lot longer and more manpower to pull off. Granted the audience is ready for another DDR CS game (we sure as hell still want the DDR AC version though).Post #148 · Posted at 2015-03-08 11:31:35pm 9.1 years ago

Is it just me or is it strange how the featured songs today are end of world, Last Dance, and Thank You For Playing.

I got one final play today at Arcade UFO before I came back from my trip. I can certainly say, it's amazing how they were able pull this whole thing off. I hope everyone also gamed hard today and throughout the years Programmed World was online.

Rest in peace. The server is now officially closed.
Thank you PW team for all of the hard work.

Goodbye ProgrammedWorld. Even if I only used you for 2 days. It was still fun while it lasted.

Even though I'm one of the lucky ones to have a Round1 location close to me, I have much respect for the people who worked diligently to give people a chance to play the latest IIDX/DDR/GD games for the rest of the Americas and Europe.
RIP PW; let's hope Konami's "Global Service" will be just as good (if not better), and your demise will not be in vain!

Agreed. From home, I live relatively near 2 Round 1's (both with offline X3 cabs) and from school, potentially a third when the San Jose one opens. I really hope with Konami "expanding globally", they can get DDR cabs in R1's online using eAmuse and more.
Going to Sunnyvale to play DDR 2014 was one of the coolest gaming experiences I've had. It was home to a lot of avid DDR players, including myself. Despite not having an eAmuse pass at that time, I personally can't compare how much different DDR 2014 is to the older versions. It just feels better playing on it, lol. Knowing now it'll most likely be downgrade to an offline X3 cab saddens me (a semi-recent update for 2014 requires eAmuse for premium play which means no full list of game modifiers, no score tracking, no extra stages, etc.)

Too many great players at SVGL . I swear I was the only one not getting AAA's and full combos haha. Programmed World definitely made SVGL an adventure.
