I doubt it, I mean, konami hasn't cared for us for almost half a decade now, and no one know how I feel, probably because they all got to play DDR 2013/2014.
Brushing off the dust from this old account to come back and say...
... I have been a music game fan since 1999. That's a lot of years in this scene, on and off. I started on DDR 1st mix and the last thing I got to play was one game of 2013 and around 10 games of Pendual, with a few of them just to set up tournaments.
This is unfortunate news but nothing to act dramatic about. It was bound to happen in some way and it's more of a shock we lasted this long rather than it going down.
Chill out, appreciate what you had, and have good faith in a brighter and more widely available future for bemani in some form rather than get pissy and angry and making this bump on the road a 20 car pile up.
Look, this is coming from someone who never got a chance to play. At all, in his life.

Doubt it. I mean, has Konami had really any other efforts in the arcade in recent years? None as far as I can remember. I mean they had some unique stuff like Silent Scope and Police 911, but that was a decade ago. While there is a new Silent Scope Game coming out, there is no word about a Stateside release. Who knows, maybe Round 1 Might get it.

Losing situation or not, stop throwing such a fit about it. DDR 2013/2014 was already rare in America. According to the arcade locator, only about 14 locations in the US had a machine with 2013/2014 running. Most of those were on either the West or East coast as well.
Play some other version of DDR. I doubt many places would bother upgrading their cabinets anyway.

Okay, and? My one game of 2013 was all the songs in the first Dance Dance Revolution folder.
Cool it with the negativity, walk around the house, watch some DDR videos and step on the tiles on your floor and take it easy. Some day the opportunity may present itself for you to play DDR whatever year it is. Don't kill yourself over "never".

Yeah, fuck Konami for defending their own property. Fuck them in the PUSSY for trying not to lose money! What a bunch of ASSHOLES, not investing in a dead market and not letting me play a video game.
