Please tell me there's a particular reason this C&D actually cannot be challenged, because it seems like, upon discussion, that this could be fought.

I know nothing about the legal mumbo-jumbo, hence my need to know exactly why that might not work.

I've never had the opportunity to play anything newer than beatmania 5th mix or a non-broken DDR cab, but I'm sure I would have enjoyed to expand my horizons had I had the chance to do so. Thank you PW for at least giving others the opportunity.

the titles were licensed for play in Japan only, not worldwide. Thus we had a service in place in the states that allowed for access to the same content in Japan that we technically shouldn't be allowed to have, and Konami was like "nu uh playa".

Poor DDR 2014, I never even got a chance to play it. After all that fucking drama, after everything would have been over, Konami fucks it all up. So to that, I say fuck Konami Right In the Pussy. FuckKonami for turning a blind eye to North American Fans. Most importantly fuck them hard. I hope they burn in Hell. I'm only going to get one chance this weekend, To experience Bemani at Arcade UFO, That will be my only chance. Way to go Konami, I might as well add them to the list of Game Companies not to buy games from.

The records aren't stored on the cards, they're stored on the server (Programmed World).
So yes, it's gone. All your card is is your credentials to your Programmed World account.

Yes. All scores saved onto the card were saved in the PWorld server, since that's getting shut down all the scores and saves are going to be gone.

It just keeps getting worse and worse. Pretty bummed out from this but keeping my head up for a hopeful chance that Konami brings e-amuse to America to make up for thi-pffttt nah I can't even keep a straight face, we're all fukt. Round 1 is our only hope.

and sorry for seeming rude coffee but i get your frustration; imagine how it's like for the arcade who just recently bought a white DDR cab (several thousands of dollars) that basically now a paperweight now.

I'm not very upset since there are not a lot of arcades close to where I live. It does bother me a little that I won't be able to play DDR 2014 again, or play PENDUAL sometime soon. (I was never very good at Beatmania anyways)

I never got to experience it. I wanted to, but Konami cut that off. Of course Tokyo Attack isn't going any where, but I know it won't be the same without DDR 2014.


I know it sucks. It hurts them just as much as it hurts me. Just please, Can we stop meeting like this? Nothing good comes out of it. All that happens, is no one wins.

Nice choice of words, care to bring something good out of this situation or are you going to mope around and not do anything about it?

I feel like if there was ever a time the community needed to band together to get the word out to Konami that we WANT these games to come over to the US, that time has finally come.

We have absolutely no means to play the latest versions of the BEMANI titles, we have no way of really growing the community outside of replaying older mixes, if anything the growth of Round 1 should be something we ALL need to factor in through all of this mess, being the only arcade in the US that has not-official-but-is-definitely e-amuse service.
