Here is an interesting thing you can do with an existing StepMania package. Not only can you add music videos. For Treashin's I'll Make a Man Out of You from BemaniStyle 7 I replaced the audio with the parody song I'll Make A Journalist Out Of You. Check it out.

First off, I don't know what "new breed of package" you're trying to demonstrate here. This isn't anything different from what you were doing with Greatest of StepMania, which itself wasn't new at the time.
Second, actually check the steps if you're going to be switching audio, because the Journalist song is a whole 2 measures off from the original chart.

It's not especially difficult. Also, despite none of these simfiles doing both of what you're claiming to innovate with, some of them at least do something more important: they add new charts.
For example, this is SM MaxX's simfile, but permission was actually obtained, the song was cut, the video was added, and lower difficulties were made by yours truly. (one of which is shown here)
P.S. If you're going to upload charts to YouTube for show, make it worth it somehow (new charts, something that will actually take time to release for play, etc.)
This for example is presentable in order to get people interested, but the sync isn't precise enough yet for people to enjoy (but good enough for a YouTube demonstration). The charts all are brand new.

Looks like you beat me to the concept of enhanced StepMania packages. Your TrotMania has stood out as an amazing example of StepMania creativity. We do have different styles though. Your style is to make a few enhanced StepMania packages with new step charts. My style is to focus on the music video so that more enhanced StepMania packages can be made or more effort can be placed on creating an original music video.

That's cool too. My YouTube only StepMania packages are to demonstrate StepMania versions of new songs.

No one, but somehow you managed to forget to do anything but add a video and change the audio. Syncing would help. This just looks like a two-minute ctrl+c ctrl+v job.
And I don't know what makes you think this is either 'a new breed' or 'enhanced', because honestly it doesn't seem like a good idea at all. Even solid execution probably won't make this fun.

I fully agree with adding content to simfiles, I love adding music videos and sometimes I add charts or fix charts. If you download the "This Is Halloween" by Marilyn Manson, that was an Expert only chart originally no graphics but I loved the song. I added the video and all the easier charts but I don't claim the work as my own, I do however like sharing.But it takes ALOT more work than just tossing in another video and using the same steps for a different .mp3 file. Also I don't think the guy that did the steps would appreciate you giving him credit for that file because with the different audio it's not good anymore. Learn how to make your own files from scratch so you understand how to do it properly.
