I don't think people should vote for one song instead of the other, just because they have never listened to it before.

Agreed with FADGIT. It takes no more than 5 minutes to listen to both songs at least once, and with tools like Google and YouTube at your disposal, there should be no excuse for you (figurative) to not listen to the songs.

Just my opinion but if something is supposed to be considered the best I should know about it already. Misleading thread title, it should be "ZIv's Favorite BEMANI Song" or something. I can vote however I want especially since there are no rules on how to vote if you don't like it I don't care...

I'd argue popularity =/= quality, especially considering most people haven't played every Bemani game and have probably missed some gems and/or haven't kept up on news of every game, but that's my opinion.

'Course, if you are keeping up on everything and still haven't heard it, I wouldn't know what to tell you. I'm one of the people living under a rock.

If it was Diamond Dust (Try to Sing ver.) I'd vote for it, but nothing really sets Diamond Dust apart as an instrumental. Halfway of promise is weak too - excessive scratch noises for the sort of song it is. I can only hear it in the context of IIDX; it's not a standalone tune.

Eh...Halfway of promise is not particularly good and the scratches don't have a sense in my opinion. Diamond Dust isn't that good either, but it's still better.

Also....a little question: why isn't there a single song from pre-DDR Supernova? I mean, these games had really good songs! Even BRILLANT 2U and B4U, two classics, were overshadowed by the newer songs, what the hell
