I recently purchased an HDD for Pump It Up Pro 2 to upgrade my MK6 NX, since I figured 8 years on the same version was long enough.
Well, after buying more cables for the HDD, plus more RAM, the main sticking points are a lack of audio and an inability to get input to the machine. The former issue might just be that the previous owner turned the attract sound off. The latter, however, makes it impossible to find out.
Has anyone had any experience using a keyboard or other input device on a machine that normally takes input through the buttons on the front? So far, I have tried both PS2 and USB keyboards with no success. Alternately, has anyone had experience installing buttons for a machine that previously didn't, and can suggest a vendor?
Since this is a private machine, I can leave a keyboard plugged in back or essentially whatever else; just trying to find some way to get it to work.
