Dance game culture can really use this shot in the arm.

So... Pump gets some of o2jam and DJMax artists? Cool. I really liked Warak's, Nato's and Memme's song previews. Can't wait to check them out :3

Sweet! Although the name seems a bit lazy.

It's most likely not the final name; I remember the Fiesta titles initially being called by their years before the official title was known.

"DanceDanceRevolution!" |
It's likely a codename for an upcoming Pump It Up game.

Nice to see M2U and Paul Bazooka in this. I love their stuff in DJMAX/Beat Cyclone. Also I kind of hope they just call it Pump 2015. It's simple and easy to distinguish.

I'm always so annoyed when companies release things during the current year but with the title claiming the following year. It's not just PIU that does that, pretty much every sports game as well. Just one of my little pet peeves.
Anyways, hope this PIU game is actually good. I'd love to get into pump but just haven't be interested yet.

I don't know why, but according to TAKASKE, location test for PIU2015 will run in Japan for the very first time.. by Sega, I guess.
Edit: actually the location test in japan is actually to see whether PIU will be accepted by Japanese players (aka interest check)
and it uses Fiesta2 for that, not the new PIU2015 one.

game will require internet connection, just like what the new BEMANI games did (especially DDR2013)

From what I've heard, they're testing the waters in Japan with Fiesta 2, not the new title.

At least some of the sports games have a reason to do that, considering that the season for some of them does most of its business in the following year (well, FIFA at least, not too familiar with most other sport seasons). Motorsport ones are pretty much the one ones I know of that start early in the year and end late in it (and then Formula E decided it wanted to be bloody different).Post #17 · Posted at 2014-10-12 10:58:01am 9.4 years ago

I was going to mention I can kinda understand for sports like basketball or football while others like baseball has no right to do so. Not to mention the game was probably worked on a year or so before release.
Regardless, a dance game doesn't have any qualification to have the title be a year later than it was originally released. It's misleading and downright shameful. I would say the same if DDR did this. I think car companies do this too and I don't see why this practice isn't challenged.

It makes a bit more sense from the perspective that if they're releasing late this year, most of the attention to the game is going to happen in 2015, as more locations get it, more people play it, and all the unlockable content will come out then.

I'm SOOOOO HYPED, because of M2U will now be in PIU for the first time, and also Paul Bazooka, I remember the first 2 tracks that made me listen to more of M2U's songs and they are 1. BLYTHE and 2. Seeker.
I wonder if M2U's songs which he will be composing in PIU will be similar to BLYTHE and Seeker (In other words, an M2U emotional track)?
And one other thing, After their location tests, will they sell their PIU 2015 Machines worldwide, or will it be the same thing as DDR 2014 where it is exclusively released in Japan only?
