Speaking of the iPhone in the other thread.
I picked up a pre-owned iPod Touch Gen 1 16gb from Gamestop last weekend and I have a question.
Can games/apps that are for the iPhone or iPad will work on an iPod Touch? Cause the reason I'm asking is I saw some Sonic games that I want to try out, but not completely sure if they will work or be compatible. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

You probably shouldn't have gotten a iPod Touch 1G, they're not even supported anymore and they barely run anything at all. Highest version it can go up to is iOS 3.
I'm pretty sure all the Sonic games aren't able to work on the 1G, but they should be able to work on the newer devices.

Dude I recommend you return it for a full refund and save up more for a 4th gen (at least 16gb)
or heck, even save up for an ipad mini, a lot of the Bemani iOS games play better when on an iPad like Jukebeat and Reflec Beat

I agree with them, you should get a 4th gen
A lot of the Sonic games need at least iOS 5.0 to run, and the 1st gen only goes up to 3.1.3. The only Sonic app I know that supports the 1st gen is Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Games for iPhone are usually available for iPod Touch as well. iPad-only games will not be available. However, as others mentioned, an iPod Touch 1 won't be able to run just about any current game anymore.
Just search what you can find on the App Store, you won't be able to download anything unsupported.
