I have a slight issue as well. The menu timer for me isn't appearing anywhere. Like the timer will still work just the numbers aren't there

After updating to 5.0.6, I noticed that any NG by a freeze arrow will still increase the score but the next arrow after will not, regardless of whether it was a Marvelous or a Great.

The mega download link for the DDR NG movies are dead. Can you re-upload them?

I'm trying to get scores on ScreenStageInfo to work. I copied the entire ScreenStageInfo in folder from the 2013 theme to this theme and it works except for the score; also, it messes up the jacket. Anyone know how to fix this without waiting for the next version?
Also, if anyone could get some dancer videos from a 2014 machine (hopefully a white cab, since they're supposedly 1080p), that would be wonderful. Don't expect that to happen though.
Edit: Oh, BTW, the jacket is too small on StageInfo as well. According to the 2013 theme, the jacket should be 460x460 and the outline should be 464x464. Make sure when you change these values you completely shut down SM as ScreenStageInfo will never show anything aside from the standard background before switching to ScreenGameplay.
Make sure to change ScreenGameplay in as well.

* Target in ScreenInfotmation
* Only see the folder selected in the Music wheel

@VR0 The theme will only be available in English. It's not like the game features a lot of text anyway
@hooky I've used the correct jacket size (using AC lineout video), please wait for the next version which will include the gameplay elements.
As for the X3-Present dancers 720p video, the possibility to have these as a pack to download is slim to none. Unless someone can provide these videos as we don't have access to a white cab (or any DDR2014 cab for that matter).
@reiaya You should send a copy of your modified DDR2014 to riskofsoundingnerdy
For the others, progress is slow but steady! I'm up to revamping the service options lately which mean that gameplay and Select Mode is done. About RDI, well:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/2qu93fgzezwmvmp/2k14-04-Gates01-p.png
For the lack of updates, we decided a while ago not to do small updates anymore and wait until we have a bunch of new features/graphics. The reason is that the theme is already working fine and we'll reach the end of the theme sooner than you think.
Thank everyone for submitting your suggestions and bug reports, it's really appreciated. I don't have a release date yet but hopefully it will be this month!

How did you arrange the order of the groups to have DDRMAX and MAX2 come after 5thMIX instead of at the very end like the default?
Post #170 · Posted at 2015-04-09 03:43:22pm 9 years ago
@Ninevolt We used to have a document explaining the procedure. I can't find it, so here it is!
For anyone that want to use the theme as we intended it, I highly recommend renaming the song folders. This way, each DDR folder in game will have the right color instead of white. It will also be used foR select songs in the next upDate, but shhh, I said nothing about that.
For those a bit lazy, we plan on doing a song pack later down the road which will include the right folder names, all the background movies (the unique movies, not the movies with the dancers) and updated .sm files in order to have the sorting by Genre working. However, the priority is to complete the theme first.
Quote
Simply rename all your DDR folders (in StepMania 5/Songs) to be exactly like this:
DanceDanceRevolution 1stMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 4thMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 5thMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 6thMIX MAX
DanceDanceRevolution 7thMIX MAX2
DanceDanceRevolution 8thMIX EXTREME
DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA
DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2
DanceDanceRevolution X
DanceDanceRevolution X2
DanceDanceRevolution X3
DDR 2013
DDR 2014
DanceDanceRevolution 1stMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 4thMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 5thMIX
DanceDanceRevolution 6thMIX MAX
DanceDanceRevolution 7thMIX MAX2
DanceDanceRevolution 8thMIX EXTREME
DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA
DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2
DanceDanceRevolution X
DanceDanceRevolution X2
DanceDanceRevolution X3
DDR 2013
DDR 2014

Thanks! Is there some file that translates those names into shorthand names? Or something that manages the order of which they show up?

In the Music Section Collapsed Wheel Item NormalPart in default.lua find the names, there can add folders.
In the graphic folder you will find some specific images with the name of the folder, if you want a custom folder to your liking, you will have to create an image of that name.
Ok a little Tutorial
1. in the MusicWheelItem SectionCollapsed NormalPart open default.lua and add you folder
Add the complete name of you folder and the color hex
2. In the same default.lua in "SortOrder_Group" line 183 add the complete name of you folder and the group name, this is the image to be created to abbreviate the name and must be placed in graphics
3. In the same default.lua in line 576 again add the name of folder
4. Do the same on the default.lua on folders MusicWheelItem SectionExpanded NormalPart and MusicWheelItem Song NormalPart (in this only step 1)
5. Ready ^^

@Ninevolt
Long version:
There's a file in the theme that reads the folder names and if they match with the list I gave you, they will appear with the right colors/graphics in game (only have an effect on the visuals). That's what reiaya explained. However, you'll have to redo it every time you update the theme though.
When sorting by DDR version (or group), StepMania uses the alphabetical order, so 1stMIX is first then 2ndMIX, etc. That's why MAX is at the end of your list in game.
In short:
StepMania doesn't have a feature to sort DDR versions in chronological order. In order to make it work, we had to rename the folders so they are sorted properly. We also use those custom folder names to display some graphics. If you don't want to edit the theme or deal with code, renaming the folders will solve the issue.
---
While we are discussing modifying the theme, I would like to remind that we accept contributions via Github: https://github.com/riskofsoundingnerdy/DDR-2014
I can make a list of the missing features or tasks that still need some work if anyone is interested!
Outside of that, everyone is free to modify the theme for their own individual need. However, it's at your own risk (no pun intended).
@kenny It is indeed

Alternate method of preferred folders sorting:
Edit [Current Theme]/Others/SongManager PreferredSongSort.txt
here's the format
--- [GroupName1]
[GroupName1]/*
--- [GroupName2]
[GroupName2]/*
--- [GroupName3]
[GroupName3]/*
--- [GroupName4]
[GroupName4]/*
example:
--- DDR 2014
DDR 2014/*
--- DDR 2013
DDR 2013/*
--- DDR X3 vs 2ndMIX
DDR X3 vs 2ndMIX/*
--- DDR X2
DDR X2/*
and so on. "*" mark means all songs in that group, and are arranged in alphabetical order.
Change your current theme's metric.ini --> [GameState]'s DefaultSort to "Preferred". Add or update also [MusicWheel]'s ModeMenuChoiceNames to include "Preferred" sort.

@razorblade
I remember discussing that sorting method with Risk when we started making the theme. I don't remember why we opted for the other one but I'll get back to you on that.

If add as "number - title"·······.
EX: 14 - DDR(2013)
Remember that some folders begins w/ 00 or 01.

RDI mode? awesome!!
If you want I have 3 RDI sounds, bgm(loop), close doors and the strange sound when you are going to open the RDI folder.
