Billboard Hot 100 Year-End Pack: 2014 Edition [CLAIMS ALL REVEALED]

Yay files are appearing.

Were my two okay, they had pre-X scale ratings but I assumed you'd tweak that. I know you have ALOT of work to do to get the graphics done and add music videos plus everything else, but it's been awhile since I uploaded the .sm files and no confirmation they were acceptable.

Previously on TrotMania Crusaders, the #2 song of last year returns in lower rungs. In addition, Ed Sheeran begins his streak of giant hits with "Sing".


As for hellrazor, I got your "All of Me" and it's very impressive considering the song's limitations (it'll probably be one of the next new simfiles after "Habits"), but I'm digging through my PMs and can't find a link for "Happy" anywhere. Care to PM me it?

Blurred Lines - The BGVideo script needs to be changed to include the BGVideo file name. Blurred Lines (feat. Pharrell).AVI instead of Blurred Lines.AVI

Blurred Lines - PIU easy chart?

Break Free - Expert chart is harder than an X-Scale 15, maybe a 16 or 17, I can't wait to try that on a pad really cool.

Sing - Needs .SM file

Let it Go - Some of the arrows are off-beat on Hard mode, notably the 1/12th note and some of the 1/16th notes, also one 1/16th note on Medium is off-beat.

Animals - Add #DISPLAYBPM:128; currently the BPM displays the freeze arrow gimmick which is really cool but the steps don't reflect those BPM's.

Wiggle - Not feeling those gimmicks, especially the stops-speed ups.

A bunch of these have the wrong tag data, they reference the #jacket file instead of a Background or Banner, or sometimes the Background referrences the Banner, and none of the files even have a Background image and some Background images are referrenced in the tag data.

Otherwise I really really enjoy this pack, the steps for these songs are really good and the videos are spot on. I hope the above items are viewed as potential improvements and not me nitpicking, if I didn't like it I wouldn't have commented honestly.

Neither are on the list for this year; however, once good progress has been made on 2014's pack, I'll start opening up claims for 2015.

UPDATE: It's winter break for the kids I work with (see my last post). Today (Monday) we played Stepmania for a good 3-ish hours. Everyone is excited to come back tomorrow to play again. Thanks for all these songs.

Are any more ready?

Hey, I just wanted to take a second and say I really appreciate that you guys are making these. I've been trying to get back into playing, and I've been having a hard time branching out from official DDR stuff, and this is exactly what I've been looking for.

Two questions:

- Has the accepted difficulty range changed or something? I'm a pretty out of shape dude coming off of a several year hiatus, and was surprised to find the 9's and 10's in this set were well within my capabilities (this is not the case with official songs right now). Did I miss some big shift in how difficulties are rated or something?

- Have there been similar sets of US pop done in previous years?

-The files are rated on a X-Scale, which was introduced in 2008. An old 9 is about equal to a new 13 or 14.

-As far as I know, there haven't been any packs specifically relating to pop music of a particular year, but there have been packs filled with assorted modern pop.

I realize this is pretty off-topic, but holy crap this is kind of blowing my mind. I'm starting to realize how long I've been out of the loop here :/

Is this the generally accepted rating system now (like are most simfiles rated using this)?

I wouldn't say most but maybe about half. Typically, a creator will say whether they're X-scale or not. But usually it's pretty easy to tell.

Radioactive does not have a video while the .sm file tries to call for one. Although I'm sure whoever is making this already knew that.

Has this project died? Was looking forward to a fair few of these. Really looking forward to Timber, given there is a video is this coming soon?

Some more will be out soon: Best Day of My Life is definitely next, I'm just waiting for one or two simfiles that are close to done to be fully complete so I can release another set of two (Most likely Habits (Stay High), which only needs a banner).
